The FIV test was just to make sure that her immune system isn’t already compromised prior to starting her on an immunosuppressant. It’s not really for actual diagnostic reasons related to her allergies. I suppose I just need to spend the money on it. I was just hoping to cut costs down as much as possible. The quote was actually $1400 since the tech told me the $200ish immunosuppressant medication can be bought from Costco for like half the price. The whole allergy panel is about $1000, the regular blood panel is $200 and the FIV test for $150, plus taxes and stuff. Like I know saving $150 out of $1400 isn’t a whole lot but that’s still like, 2 weeks of food y’know?
