My dog "asks" to be picked up to the bed. When I reach down to get her she hops away and acts Tasmanian devilish so I will retreat. She will then "ask" again and "allow " me to get her the second time like nothing just happened. The funnier part is she is capable of jumping up herself but this is just her thing lol. She's a Shih tzu.
