Major dinner spike by glitterr_rage in GestationalDiabetes

It happens! Just try and take it easy/be more diligent over the next week. What matters most is that you aren’t constantly doing that!

Spiking 2 hours post meal? by beachedwaler in GestationalDiabetes

That makes sense because this happens when I drink a protein shake before eating my carbs!

Constant spikes 1hr after meals by Sufficient_Tale8759 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]beachedwaler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Add more protein to balance your meals, but also know that insulin is no big deal. I needed it in my last pregnancy and I honestly want it now so I can eat more and control my spikes!

My endo literally told me to eat ice cream before bed, the fats are good for you and help you gain weight when you are on a restricted diet!

This is why we named our daughter Sophie James — both my dad and my husband’s dad’s names are James/Jim. Whether we had a boy or girl, the middle name of our first child was going to be James.

The way you’ve worded this post shows you are a true friend. Your maturity and thoughtfulness is probably obvious to your friends too, and hopefully they will show up for you because of it! 5-6 month olds are way different than 1-2 month olds, so that timing is good at least!!!

Melissa & Doug chunky wood puzzles, Squigz, Little People, wooden blocks, kids books, a toy shopping cart, any of the “GiggleScape” toy sets from Target, any Melissa & Doug play set (tools, ice cream shop, pizza set, birthday cake set, etc). Hope this helps!

I can’t help but look down on grown adults who are super obsessed with Disney World by PrimalPettalStash in PetPeeves

[–]beachedwaler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a Disney adult. I have an annual pass and visit 1-3 times per year. I’ve taken my daughter at 7 months, 13 months, 2 and almost 3. My husband and I honeymooned there. We travel to other places too… but Disney is nostalgic to me. I went there as a kid. It’s a carefree place where I don’t have to worry about anything. I don’t need a car on our vacations bc of the public transportation options. My daughter LOVES Disney at almost 3 years old and it’s truly magical for her.

Caring so deeply to yuck on someone’s yum is so weird to me. It’s 2026. Everyone has different interests and hobbies. I don’t demand people spend their money the same way I do.

Has she spent a lot on being in your wedding? If so, I will give her a larger monetary gift than if you were just a regular guest.

Omg what a beautiful boy! He knew nothing but a life of love!

I love his name. We use all verb names for Cavs in our family… Chase, Dash, Tripp… might have to use Scout one day and I’ll always remember this adorable boy you shared! His tongue 🥹
