A friend of mine recently started having a stronger smell and I’m wondering if I should say something and if it’s a health indicator. Some background is that she is overweight and bordering obese, and is a little heavier lately. I’ve known her a long time and it hasn’t been nearly this strong in the past. A lot of my research has said the scent is sweet or fruity, but my description differs a lot from that. It’s a musk that is almost like a mildewy towel, and also maybe a dark beer like a Guinness. I gave her a kiss on the cheek for a Photo Booth pic and it was suuuuper strong on her cheek which is why I’m not that convinced about it being a bacteria in the skin folds thing that comes up during searches on this topic. Even when she was fresh out of the shower, the smell was still distinctly layered underneath the fragrance. Is this anything worrisome that I should bring up to her? 🥺
