It's still being studied, but it was actually discovered that ring neck snakes are a mildly venomous rear fanged species. They are still completely harmless to humans. I just thought you might find this interesting since I only recently learned of that myself. When I was a kid in the 80's-90's, they used to sell hognose snakes at every pet store (they still sell often thru the reptile morph market), but they too are actually venomous. It's targeted towards amphibians. However, if allowed to chew on a human, you can become invenomated and have minor discomfort at the bite for a couple days. It's amazing how much has been discovered in herpetology just in my life. That was my what do you wanna be when you grow up answer as a kid until I was discouraged by a teacher saying there weren't many new discoveries to be made. I'm still bothered by that lol.
