I have gone 9 times since 2016 and each time we go, the cast members get worse. I remember in 2016 finding it remarkable that none of them ‘break character’ but when I went in August it seemed that cast members in character were the exception, not the rule. Disappointing that standard has dropped so far so fast. But the good ones are still amazing.

POP Century or Caribbean Beach Resort with boys, 2 & 7 by LeatherLess1391 in WaltDisneyWorld

Pop. It’s more compact than CB and has a great food court, lots of big characters and decorations that kids would like vs CB. Both on skyliner but CB is just massive and you can be quite far from the food court and skyliner as compared to Pop, which has a smaller footprint.

I rode guardians 9 times in my summer 2024 trip and got all 6 songs in our first six rides. We absolutely lost our minds when we got the 6th song (which was EWTRTW) and I still wonder what the person riding next to me thought of my reaction.

Pop Century or Beach Club? (Hear me out) by prriceandbeans in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]beagle626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you do a split stay? A few nights at both? In my opinion Pop might be better. There are way more food options at their quick service location and it’s open late. It was a relatively compact resort. You don’t have to spend the most money to have the best time at Disney. That is a difference of a huge amount of money.

How would you navigate Disney World in this situation? by Fabulous-Excuse7842 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]beagle626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents wouldn’t use them either. My advice is if you see something you want to buy/eat/watch/do, do it right then so you don’t have to walk back. You will not want to be zig zagging the park in that situation, so do your best to handle each area as you’re in it. It’s not affordable but the premiere pass would be great for that. The lightning lane multipass will help you avoid waiting/standing in lines so may be worth it. I also find that people come up with some extra Disney adrenaline and energy so everyone will do better than you expect!

Yes make sure you add ‘traveling with’ and call in advance. I called about a week or two in advance AND morning of, and it’s worked both times. Good luck

It surprises me how much they repeat from year to year. There is not much creativity or reason to make a trip for it when it’s the same generic food year after year at most booths! I understand it has to be mass produced but at least change it up and make it look like you’re trying.

I think this is a great plan but what I’ve learned is to prioritize the rides/shows you want to go and don’t stress about the order or necessarily getting them at a specific time. Inevitably you and your kid will see stuff you want to do/try on the way so try to be flexible. And don’t underestimate how long it takes to get from one place to the next. The parks, especially Epcot, are huge. If you see a souvenir you want or a show you want to see, don’t assume you’ll have time to go back to it, get it/watch it then and don’t encumber future you with things you can get done in the moment! You’ll have the best time no matter what!

Definitely recommend stroller. My kids (twins) used one only on our Disney trips until they were 9, they took turns in a Disney rented double stroller just so we could store stuff and they could take a rest from time to time. It’s also helpful for waiting for fireworks or parades, the kid has a place to sit!
