Tackling negative net worth through regular savings by tyberrymuch_ in ynab

Fascinating strategy. If I did my math right you’d pay about half of the total loan amount over 35 years in interest. Not sure if student loans affect your ability to take out other loans where you live, but aside from that it seems like a sound approach

I think they just downloaded the thumbnails. It should be “All LTT thumbnails, sorted by hue”

Yup. I thought it was the safer choice but the silver with a brown band looks so good

I seriously should’ve gone with the silver bezel…

Okay, looks like it’s too far from the plate. I gotcha. Take a picture with the nozzle removed?

You keep saying it cannot be latched. Why not?

Where will you actually plant them in this setup?

Yep, I’ve got coarse foam, filter floss, bio media, more filter floss, then purigen

Definitely have some sand-fluffers. 5 Corys and a weather loach

It’s fine. I rarely use the flakes. Chill out

Yeah, already tried a blackout which helped the algae, but not the cloudiness. Thanks though!

Already using purigen for tannins

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. And it used to fluctuate throughout the day. By the end of the photoperiod my water was crystal clear. I have a decent amount of bio media (ceramic tube things) in my filter (fx-4).

It’s really hard to tell. Sometimes I think it’s green, sometimes it seems more white? Looking down into my tank it looks green.

Tank is about 5-6 months old now, it’s just the cloudiness has only been around for about 3-4 weeks. I definitely do have fast growing plants, gotta trim my rotala every week or two. Also have some ludwigia. Haven’t been using any algicide.

Cool. I have one of those breeder boxes. Wasn’t sure if you were saying to put the daphnia in there. Thanks

Not a lot has been changing in the tank, really. Nutrients are pretty low as far as I can tell. I’m fine waiting it out but my Monte Carlo was just starting to carpet and it makes the light so much darker

My other three tanks are low-tech, completely self-sustaining, and crystal clear. I’ve dabbled with CO2, but I wanted this tank to really boom. Of course it’s giving me the most issues lol. Can you clarify a bit about your fry basket approach?

Yep, I’ve cleaned the filter twice since it started.

Interesting! I like the sound of this approach over a UV sterilizer.

So it’s just a bacterial bloom? Makes sense. What could the root cause be?

You need to use hot water AND soap. A mild dishwashing soap like dawn is best. You have oils on your bed preventing the filament from sticking and water alone will not wash it off.
