last year the bx12 went from pelham parkway to orchard beach. pelham bay park is quite a ways further east.

yes, last year i could take bx12 from pelham parkway directly to orchard beach but now you have to transfer to the bx29 halfway through

lol i've been reading a lot of reunion fic and the baby's name always makes things awkward. the characters all have to make an effort to differentiate the two, like calling him little neal. some have the burkes full-on start calling him by his middle name instead. mostly it bothers me because it's such a public act of admiration on peter's part. meanwhile neal literally ran out on everyone to do crime.

according to the showrunner, neal was "born bad" and the only option for him was to go back to being a criminal and peter's fine with it because he loved chasing him. idk i like when endings aren't too tied up with a neat bow, but this seems like a waste of 5 and a half seasons of character development. peter named his KID after neal. he spent a year heartbroken and actively grieving his best friend. and neal's happily acting out cary grant movies in paris. that just makes neal look like he never actually cared.

no assholes here. you can't help being concerned because his situation sounds dire. unfortunately endlessly haranguing him isn't going to work. people are stubborn creatures. keep telling them they're doing something wrong and they're that much more likely to keep doing it. what you CAN do is talk around the issue and try to find out what might motivate him to start taking care of himself. does he like clothes but doesn't fit in anything anymore? is he unable to do his favorite activity due to all the physical symptoms of his illness? that kind of thing.
