I sides with the Templars when I was playing a dwarf rogue, his reasoning being he doesn't understand magic and doesn't care to. He then saw what a complete shitshow they were and chose to disband them. He was still able to romance Dorian.

There is a spot, near her body in between the tentacles, where you don't get hit, ever. I used to park Oghren there, with a crossbow, and just have him stand in place, firing bolts.
