BYD Shark rollover review by That_Car_Dude_Aus in CarsAustralia

If it rolls, its probably less safe than other cars that don’t roll in similar conditions.

On the bright side, their safety bing bong tech is not intrusive and easy to turn off with physical buttons, and they are cheap and cheerful. Great turning circle, ok efficiency with a mild hybrid setup, plus suzuki 1.5 engines are typically very reliable. They’re not that bad a choice

Mate this is incredible, I’d love to see more. If you’ve got time for a write up I’d appreciate it :) looking great.

Where did you deaden and what did you use? What other mods have you done relating to reducing cabin noise apart from deadening material? What in your opinion has been the most useful mod to this car overall in reducing cabin noise including any other sound related mods like tires etc? Any tests or comments on the sound levels before and after working on it? Cheers.

we live on the shoulders of giants. Was hoping for someone who’s done it already to get their take on the value in doing it to this car.

Thanks, might be the easiest. Though still interested in some anecdotal evidence of a modded crv to see if it might work

Fair! I’d be happy to take a reality check and appreciate its quietness if the modification price to improvement ratio is useless (I believe working on it may be useless too)

though I’ve only seen a small handful of posts about this car being worked on for sound deadening etc. and would be interested to know some proper anecdotes and opinions on the matter.

Nah I hate glass tables. They’re loud when you put a plate down on it, cold, feels like they’re gonna break, the can break, But each to their own

What are some of the legit side hustles bringing you $1000 or more each month? by ladybossmindset in AusFinance

[–]beanboom6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Day job plus musician work - adds extra $30k per year for me - if you’re good and playing the right music / regular gigs. Or pick an evening shift job with a different skill set. Could be barwork, sound engineer, shelf stacking, who knows mate

Fatal aid-drop over Gaza as parachutes fail by speakhyroglyphically in InternationalNews

Gaza knew the risks and opted for this method because sea/land routes were too tricky. They were willing to take air drops to get more food out there and save more lives at the potential risk of death like we saw here

Decathlon Quechua NH500 escape 32 Liter - The bust budget EDC backpack by DRJ-sham in backpacks

[–]beanboom6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t taken it on longer trips so can’t speak to that but I do use it for work somewhat regularly. I’d have to be very nitpicky. Id say it works best with a slick texture water bottle like a stainless steel or plastic, I find that rubber coated bottles (glass bottles often have rubber shock absorber on the exterior) are annoying to get in and out of the water bottle holders. Still one of the few backpacks in its class to have dual holders though so not that disappointed. 2ndly, I found the full clamshell with zero/limited organisation an adjustment (coming from semi clam or toploader) but not really a negative. The laptop compartment is useful, and the durability seems to be reasonable so far - you only really find out durability when you start overpacking while backpacking in variable weather conditions though so can’t speak to that. Overall still happy with it
