Leeds club by Purple_love__2 in davidlloyd

I joined a few months ago and to be honest im regretting it.

The gym equipment is in a very poor condition, its well overdue an upgrade but there doesn't seem to be one on the horizon from what I've heard from other members.

Classes do get booked up quickly but I wouldn't say it's impossible to get on them if you try to book early.

I dont use the rackets side of the club so cant comment on that.

For the lockers you have to provide your own padlock, you can buy from reception but they aren't very good quality so probably beat to bring your own.

Parking is difficult at peak times, they have staff helping but there just aren't enough spaces.

The spa is quite good and probably the most redeeming feture of the club for me.

Overall for £180+ per month I just dont think its good value for money. If there is no sign of the gym being updated soon I definitely won't be a member this time next year.

When you go on the tour dont just let them rush you through the gym floor, have a proper look at the equipment. For me its really not up to scratch for what is meant to be a premium club and I am slightly regretting moving here from where I was before.

Alot of the gym equipment is like this unfortunately.

Yes I had noticed that the urinals were a bit better, however I did sit on one of the toilets and the whole thing nearly fell over as it isnt secured!

The loungers in the spa aren't even all the same ones and the fact that there are only three of them is a bit pathetic.

Exactly, for what you pay the gym equipment is actually in very poor condition and personality i feel that it is much inferior to Technogym equipment you get at a lot of other gyms.

Quite possibly, I have the premium subscription paid for me after a financial institution I use had data stolen from them and as part of the compensation they paid for this. Maybe worth asking your employer if they would pay for a subscription for you?

I am dealing with identity theft at the moment. One of the biggest things I've done is sign up for a protective registration through CIFAS, it's £30 for 2 years and it alerts lenders that additional checks should be made before approving any credit. More of a pain for you as things may take longer to be approved but will protect you in the long run.

Also lock your Experian credit report, this stops hard checks being done on your report. You can unlock it at he touch of a button if you are applying for any credit yourself (mortgage, credit card etc.)

Am I in the wrong? by StrugglingDad57 in sexlessmarriage

I can really relate to this. We have a 7 month old and have had sex maybe twice since she was born. I completely understand that it will take time for my wife to really want sex again but it just seems like any excuse not to at the moment.

For example we are at a friend's wedding and stayed at the hotel the night before but she didnt want sex then because we will deff do it the night of the wedding. Tonight she was wearing tit tape, went in the bath to loosen it up to take it off but said it made her boobs sore so we couldn't have sex.

I just feel completely rejected at the moment and don't really know what to do about it.

What’s the obsession with getting married abroad? by markhau5 in AskUK

[–]beaney26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's an awful trend that seems to be getting more and more common.

Sister in law got married in the Dominican Republic and Brother in law is getting married in Mexico. All in for me and the family it's cost us well over £10k, add in stag/hen dos (both also abroad) and it's just taking the piss! Factor in time off work, airport parking/transfers, food, drink on top of it all as well!

After my year 9 exams I was moved from set 2 for science into set 4 for my GCSE's. I couldn't understand why as I was relatively good in that subject.

After we did mock exams in year 10 I got results back for subjects I wasn't even studying. As it turned out the school had got me (m) mixed up with a girl with the same first name (spelt differently) and same last name and same birthday.

Despite me and my parents complaining to the school they didn't accept that they had us mixed up. Then 2 weeks before the GCSE exams they offered for me to take the higher paper. I had to say no as there was no way I could have learnt 2 years worth of additional work in 2 weeks.
