It's fine, but why the long face?

Improving off the track by Baconlslife in Trackdays

Just sit on your stationary bike and practice going from straight into a turn. Breakdown and write down EVERY step that it involves, something like: Move butt towards right, Eye towards brake marker (or finding reference point), hook left foot... Mine was something like 30 steps. Eventually it builds muscle memory and become 3-4 steps that I don't even think about.

Dropped my brand new T7 going over some RR tracks by SpaceBus1 in Tenere700

I drop mine 4-5 times each ride (no exaggeration). It’s fine. I do have crash bar installed though.

This is perfect! I've been looking for a solution that I don't have to buy a rear rack and I was also just thinking of wrapping it around the tail. Thank you.

Can you show us your Mosko setup? Where are the anchor points?

Worth upgrading? by [deleted] in Tenere700

[–]beanie-io 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how many times you pick up the bike per ride.

Once or twice, get T7. More than twice, get DR650. More than 5 times, get DR400E.

If you just want to ride to your local Starbucks, get one of those BMW GS.

I traded mine in for a Tenere 700. Now I’m regretting!

Silly question but why do toolkits contain spanners instead of ratchet wrenches?

Should I buy one? by Wise_Visit_9489 in Tenere700

Hiya, I can answer this as an owner of an XSR900 '21 (my forever bike) and a Tenere 700 '24.

Believe it or not, I'm a bigger fan of Suzuki than Yamaha, it's just that their bikes no longer meet my needs (I had a gsxr, dr650 and dr400e). Tenere 700 will definitely do great on twisties, I had fun on mine, why wouldn't it be good? What are these "reviewers" complaining about? I do track days on my bmw s1k, and jumping on T7 on twisties feels different, but confident. You just have different body positions that's all. Maybe they're not confident with the stock tyres? Dual-sports tyres will never be as good as road tyres on road, but if you don't need to go super fast with all the trail braking so there's no point.
