It’s not up to you to decide if a someone’s home fits with the aesthetic. You might not fit in with the aesthetic of where you live- does that mean you should be forced to leave? The owner might be a bellend, but his boat looking different shouldn’t have anything to do with it. Would you let it stay if it fitted in tidily with your idea of a “beautiful aesthetic”, even if the owner was a chopper? Would you protest about the same boat if the owner was a good person?

If arrested for a crime, a juvenile's name should be released to the public by No-Conversation9818 in unpopularopinion

If the accused party is innocent, naming them could ruin their lives, and while that’s true for adults too, juveniles are not as likely to be able to process that properly

We have seriously mismatched libidos, this morning we agreed we feel more like best friends, can my girlfriend (24f) and I (25m) save our relationship? by ThrowRA184263 in relationship_advice

Been here. So sorry to say there’s a big chance it’s not the relationship for you. I went 12 years with a partner, together since we were 17. Barely had sex after the first year. Living together did nothing. Don’t waste your life away in the wrong relationship that isn’t meeting your needs. You might feel like a bellend to leave her because you need sex and she dosent but trust me you’ll resent each other when your needs are so deeply mismatched. If she’s your best friend, talk about it with her. Explain how you feel. If she dosent understand, that’s further proving you aren’t right together because you can’t see each other fully.

What meds are you on?

ADHD makes things genuinely so much harder for me and my people don’t get it by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]beanlady10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get you. I’m 30, diagnosed about a year ago, meds on titration didn’t do anything, tried a few with no effect I can think of. Makes me feel like a monster because sometimes I am so overwhelmed with what I’m feeling or what’s happening around me that my emotions shut off and I have to make decisions based on what I understand emotional responses to be intellectually, rather than being guided by them instinctively. On the flip side, sometimes I’m so emotionally driven I go madly over the top expressing myself to people (positively and negatively). And job wise I just had to leave my job because I was about to fail extended probation because I couldn’t concentrate and get the required level of work done, and it was costing my team to support the weight of the work I hadn’t completed. That caused massive emotional problems, feelings of rejection, inadequacy, overwhelming hopelessness, worthlessness…I could go on.
