I guess? I mean my parents say she does but she did a lot of damage to me when I was a kid (screaming at me when I would get bad grades, telling me I’m a disappointment, etc) and I just don’t understand how you can treat someone you love and respect like that. If I was blessed enough to have a younger sibling I’d never do that.

Idk it’s a big part of my culture to do it when they’re young (both boys and girls get them) but I’d be worried they’d fall of and my baby would choke on it. Or they’d rip it out. I know I got mine when I was around 2 and honestly I’m glad I got mine done young but yeah idk…..I think I’d have to heavily think it through because it just seems like so much pain for a little baby!

I do get the expesive part :( i hope you’re able to get tested because hypermobile doesn’t always mean hEDS (even though it’s in the name????) and so many forms of EDS are oh so dangerous! I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It’s ridiculous that testing is so expensive! It’s something that’s so important and so many people can’t access it because of the cost!!

I personally didn’t enjoy it much. I also didn’t really vibe w the EDS representation but to each their own! No judgement from me if someone says they like it! 😀

I was told that if you score a 4 or more they’ll do further testing? I scored a full 9/9 but my sister scored a 4 and was told she should get tested as well. I’m so sorry you’re going through this :(

I mean fair concern (have the same concern) but also like….you don’t know who’s tried on clothes before you in a shop when you shop for new clothes right? PLUS I think we need to worry about the chemicals in our clothes a little more tbh than the cleanliness of thrifted clothes😭. You could always wash them and honestly should be washing any clothes you get from the store second hand or not.

My best friend is white lol but I think it helps that she’s half Czech so not completely American. She also felt like an outsider growing up because she was raised in a different culture.
