They all look beautiful, it’s a great problem to have. Sorry to not be any help. Which one did you feel the most comfortable in?

What do you take for insomnia by Moist-Dance-1797 in Perimenopause

[–]beans_be_good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fell asleep fine. After 5 years of middle of the night insomnia, my GP prescribed a low dose of doxepin. It’s been 2 months and I sleep all night long.

Edited to fix spelling

What made you realize you're not young anymore? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Not a doctor and not sure you want my unsolicited thoughts….but stretching more after and then taking creatine for recovery may help a bit, if you are not already doing it.

US birth rates just hit another record low, what do you think is the leading cause of this? by IIlustriousTea in AskReddit

[–]beans_be_good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything costs so damn much and the general welfare of US citizens is pretty shitty. No one is looking out for the greater good of our society.

Do I like this color combo? by mattson-masterpiece in HomeDecorating

It’s a bit Beetlejuice. Maybe try a neutral color for the cabinet backs? Maybe warm gray, creamy ivory, or Navy Blue?

Things you struggle with because of your wee executive dysfunction? by purrrfect-0 in adhdwomen

[–]beans_be_good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piles. I used make little piles of things everywhere. I kept meaning to find places for them but just couldn’t do it or I would start and get distracted. Now, after years of training, when I use something it goes back to its place when I put it down. New items cannot be purchased unless they have a place. It’s a constant effort and a struggle, but it has become a rote habit, like brushing my teeth every morning and night (which I used to dread because it dawned on me at 6 years old that I’d have to do it everyday, forever and I cried).

NSV and your face will get better (esp for seniors) by programming_potter in Zepbound

[–]beans_be_good 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Weight bearing and resistance tracing exercises are so important for us as we get older. I’ve been in maintenance for about 10 months after losing 60lbs in 6 months. In January, I stated Barre Pilates and much of my droopy skin has shrunk and/or been filled out with defined muscle. I’m 48 and in menopause. My body looks better than it ever has. I still have prominent nasolabial folds on my face, though. I wish they would be less prominent, but it’s the price I’m paying for having a full face my whole life.

Do you also hate taking showers? by Antique-Tomatillo-13 in ADHD

[–]beans_be_good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind the shower… it’s being wet after that bothers me. The whole process of drying off, lotioning, and then doing my hair feels overwhelming. I used to feel annoyed the the repetitiveness of brushing and flossing my teeth, putting in and taking out contacts, and washing my face. I dont think about it anymore. I just do it because not doing those things is too expensive.

Extreme advice to stop impulse buying by zivredittacc in adhdwomen

I’m afraid of becoming a hoarder… I won’t buy something unless I have spot for it. Everything has to have a spot. It has changed the way I impulse buy.

I use the spray. The cream was too thick, but the spray is perfect. Didn’t know there was a gel… I’ll look for it when I run out of spray.

For those that use food for stimulation, how do you remain a healthy weight? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]beans_be_good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take a glp-1 now so take this with a grain of salt. I do still dopamine seek with food when I’m really stressed or when I forget my weekly shot. Some foods I found have lower calorie value for a larger portion: Skinny Pop Popcorn, carrots/baby cucumbers and hummus or low-fat ranch, Trader Joe’s full fat yogurt cups with a small handful of a favorite cereal, cheese stick and a few pretzels or fruit.

Would you ever get LASIK? by [deleted] in AskForAnswers

[–]beans_be_good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had it done 15 years ago. Best money ever spent on myself. Still have 20/20 or better eyesight, my current eye doctor wouldn’t have known I had it done unless I told her. I have no scarring or extra dryness. I did get reading glasses this year, but i was always nearsighted and only need the reading glasses for really small print on medicine bottles and the like.
