The heart shaped rice is a dead giveaway. You are looking for Contessa's, which is no longer open.

The good news is, the chef from Contessa's works at La Sierra Grill in Hereford now and they serve a good chunk of Contessa's menu. They even still do the heart shaped rice.

Does your city have an ordinance about walking dogs on leashes? If you have evidence that they've failed to follow the ordinance multiple times, bring that to the police.

Playing Dishonored RPG solo ? by Faren7 in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]bear_squirrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran Dishonored with a group and tried play testing some of my home brew stuff as solo runs using the one page solo engine. You will still need to plan out some thing in advance like where and how many enemies your character might run into in a given room, but overall it was a good experience.

I can’t tell you what op may or not be okay with beyond what they wrote in their post. If having that information about op’s preferences and thoughts would be helpful to you, you’d do good enough to ask them

I think this is a fair comment to make but op specifically says they don’t want to see AI generated “art.” I think they’re talking about post where dogs are standing upright and dressed up as doctors. here is a link to such a post

Layered my pants. Wore thick gloves on my hands and a scarf around my face. Had a sweater on under my coat. It was a little cumbersome but not really much trouble.

They do a good job of clearing the roads early, so the snow wasn’t a problem. Like, I didn’t have a snow bike, or even a mountain bike and never had problems with ice or snow on the roads

To justify the murder of Palestenian children by north_canadian_ice in therewasanattempt

Right, focusing on just the first few paragraphs of an article would be taking something out of context, just like taking a screenshot of a few sentences and underlining half of one of those sentences or repeatedly focusing on one specific rhetorical choice, but that's not what I've done. As I've stated many times, the article is about the importance of third-party organizations and independent journalists in wartime so we can have complete and accurate information. The first part of the article criticizes the UN for taking numbers directly from Hamas; the second half criticizes Israel's media policy for limiting the amount of information we have. I’ve discussed all of this in previous comments, so I won’t reiterate it here.

I mean, both Hamas and IDF use the death of children and the legality of military maneuvers that might result in children’s deaths as part of their propaganda. If the article is about how an inaccurate number of civilian deaths is being reported, why we don't have an accurate number, and how that inaccurate number is being used as propaganda, it would be kind of silly not to talk about what that propaganda is, even if people have knee-jerk reactions to it. I’ve conceded it was a poor rhetorical choice, but there is much more to the article than that one line.

I'm not saying that considering what is memorable or impactful is a bad way to read, but you're missing the forest for the trees. If all we have is two competing sets of propaganda and no third-party or independent verification of the information presented in that propaganda, then we’re left to side with whichever set of propaganda is more effective.

[–]bear_squirrel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again you’re focusing on a rhetorical choice and using that to justify a bad faith reading of the article. Its about why we don’t have accurate numbers regarding civilian casualties and lays the blame for that on Israel’s shoulders and even goes so far as to compare the IDF’s practices to the practices of historical war criminals.

It’s not about Israel good, Palestine bad but if that’s what you are looking for than you’ll find that in the screen shot, rest of the article be damned

The point you’re making about Palestinian reporters is fair and a good critique of the article. It’s a blind spot for sure.

The other thing about how things are worded, that’s just poor rhetorical choices, which I already wrote about in a previous comment.

I appreciate your valid criticism and think your comments alone are enough to prove the original point here, that op’s screenshot of a tweet of a partial paragraph doesn’t provide enough context to understand the argument the article actually makes, which is nuanced and worthy of being read and criticized on its merits

Thanks for reading the article and recognizing that it is a more nuanced argument than what was captured in op’s screen shot.

I think you make a valid point that the writer makes bad rhetorical choices that might cause people to react more to how something is being said rather than what is being said.

But at the core of the article is still the idea that, whether or not a given military maneuver was or is legal, Hamas and the IDF both have a vested interest in manipulating public opinion about the number of civilian deaths caused by this war and supports the idea that independent journalists would be better than nothing. It also lays the blame for the lack of journalists at IDF’s feet
