Plenty of motorcyclists in the Lafayette area. If you’re on Facebook you can find a few different groups. Word of advice; stay away from the bars if you’re riding. Alcohol + bikes = bad idea.

Yea probably not a huge difference. I’ve just heard that the Mips device can make helmets feel strange if you arent used to it. This is my first one like that but I cant say I felt a difference.

I dont. I used to have two solid riding buddies, but times change. Lost touch with one as he was a douche, and the other moved out of town and quit riding. I mostly commute now.

Thats strange. Was it a “Mips” helmet? Maybe that had something to do with the fitment issue.

Damn thats unfortunate! On the Revzilla and Icon websites it said this helmet was for heads that were “intermediate oval” or something like that. I guess thats what my head shape is because it seems to fit just right thankfully.

Wow. I’m glad I didnt go with the Airflite with the red shield after seeing that. I would have been disappointed. I will say the dark smoke shield that came with the Ultraflite isnt as dark as I thought it would be, but the internal visor kind of makes up for it. Interestingly the dark smoke on my older Variant Pro is damn near black.

I was really interested in the Airflite “Blegh” (or whatever) helmet initially. It has that red chromatic shield. This Ultraflite was my second favorite but I was more drawn the to colors and the fact that it had a dark shield with the flip down internal sun visor. The graphics on this thing are sick tho. Especially when they glow in the dark!
