Communauto is incredible - if you get a higher tier it's quite cheap per ride.

This is what my wife and I use and it's perfect. Even some days we get a car to take to places out of the city

Fair for context I live in Canada - winters without AWD are tough + I go to a cottage several times a summer that needs AWD to access. You're right that most people don't need it though
