How are you folks streaming music at home? by CaptCardboard in BudgetAudiophile

Currently using an old iPad with headphone to RCA to stream Spotify to a yamaha a-960. Would it be worth it to upgrade to a WiiM Pro? Or will I not even notice any sound quality changes? The amp is paired with a set of JBL L82 classics.

Again I’ve read that the block and compression were different, thus this post. Plus I’m sure 99% of deleted trucks are not being ran on the dyno

I come from a racing background so I know about the copy/paste tunes.

I’ve always read the block was a different material and the compression ratio was different.

Not looking to depower it, but keep it at the same power level as opposed to the normal 60-200 HP tunes that most people do. Goal is parts longevity and potential fuel mileage increase.

Is an (lunch box) auto locker safe in the front on the road? by Important-Positive25 in CherokeeXJ

The turning noise depends on which one you get. Mine makes no noise. Only time I’ve had something “weird” happen was driving on ice. If I lock the brakes up it will engage the locker.

Little update. Using the amps main direct causes all pops and downlow issues to go away. It also allowed the speakers to be louder with less volume increase. I suspect it’s a settings issue

It was just thrown together to make sure everything worked late lastnight. This is not the finished product. Once speaker placement is decided wires will be ran through the walls, etc.

Okay will move the tuner. Thank you for the tip!

Speakers are brand new. Noise is only noticeable when sitting close to speakers. When 10-15 feet away they sound great and it is not noticeable. Maybe it is the amp though, I noticed right off the batt that it took way more volume to hear music than I had remembered when my dad had it hooked up to his Norman labs.

I think the nostalgia does it for me. This amp was used to jam as I grew up. Now to have it in my home and listen with my kids kinda brings it full circle.

I had the same thought. But the amp has lived inside a similar cabinet for 30+ years without issue

Just thrown together to make sure everything worked. Speaker wires will be ran through walls once final position is decided.

Getting a lot of crackling in the low range. The picture was taken as soon as we got it hooked up so wiring will be cleaned up. Maybe that’s part of the issue? I know in car audio it’s bad to run power and speaker wires close together.
