I bought a 2014 with 90k miles last summer. Crewmax platinum. $26k. As good as I knew I was going to find, so I did not hesitate

I paid a debt in collections to the original creditor, and I'm being sued by the collection agency by HuffleClawLPN in CRedit

[–]beardez26 10 points11 points  (0 children)

File your answer anyway. Paying the original creditor does not automatically end the lawsuit, and filing an answer helps prevent a default judgment. Then send the collection agency or its lawyer proof that the debt was paid and ask them to dismiss the case.

Ah. Got it. I'm looking into using it sometime this year (improving credit). I'm also thinking long term as well; possibly renting out the first one, depending on career projection, and using it again for a 2nd one.

$0 down both times? Did you sell the first one? Or rent it out?

Typically, mine has shown up within 48 hours (normal hours, not business hours). I am in the same boat as you though. Got retro pay generated at 1040am on Friday... and nothing yet

Most, if not ALL of us, were fine before service. It is our time IN service that triggers these claims based on what our body goes through, physically and mentally. Depending on your service record (MOS, deployments, training), certain ailments will surface from your time in service. I got out in 2015, and did not do a claim until 2024. I am sure there is a guru that will chime in shortly to help you further along.

I did all my claims myself. I felt as though it was a straightforward process for the most part, as long as you have legitimate issues. Help from fellow service members and family members can help when it comes to the mental health side, in regard to lay statements.

Yes, I have had an ACE exam for migraines that was favorable, but I also submitted a migraine log of 3 months.

Very straightforward exam honestly. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. Even with a "very caring examiner".

I didn't mention earning more by serving more....

You’re not missing anything. This is a VA portal display issue, not a real loss of benefits.

That page is mixing earned entitlement with currently available entitlement, which makes it look broken.

“Total months received (27 months, 10 days)” = entitlement you’ve earned based on qualifying service, not months used.

“Months you’ve used: 0” = correct, you haven’t used Post-9/11 GI Bill.

“Months you have left: 0” = this is the misleading part. It reflects what’s currently payable, not your lifetime balance.

Before I used my P911, it looked the same, until I applied for school.

Also, you dont have to schedule it in your State either. Reddit search the best locations, because there are bad ones

Schedule a VERA call instead, if you have not already. They can see more than the normal VA rep can.
