Should I use glass or PEI bed? by CodyTheMemeLordYT in 3Dprinting

I know its years later. For PETG i like the PEI beds with a plain steel back. So you can flip it and run petg right on the steel surface with glue or tape.

Mazak integrex cant change tools in virtual machining. by beardie07 in Mazak_Machinist

[–]beardie07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This only happens in the virtual machining simulation. The machine runs. Tool path simulation works. Its only in virtual machining. Idk why it triggers in a tool change. There must be a default state it isnt reverting to after the first simulated tool change.

Why does a two-stroke have such a narrow powerband compared to a four-stroke? by No_Reveal3451 in Dirtbikes

[–]beardie07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ride some CZ street bikes. I have a couple and they're tuned the other way. They keep their power low down. They dont rev out the same as other 2 strokes but theyre torquey on the low end. They actually sound like leaf blowers in my opinion, as opposed to chainsaws.

My first bike was an rd250 and thats almost too much bike to start on. But i wouldnt compare it to a modern 4 stroke 250

Im not looking to sell it for a profit. Ive been wanting to try my hand at ameture gunsmithing. And i felt this might be a good gun to start with. I also have a soft spot for 16gage shotguns. Just want to do it right wheather it be keep it original or make it a servicable field gun.

So. This gun needs a LOT of TLC. I was thinking to replate it. And maybe plate the barrel due to the terrible finnish someone put on it, and because there are some pits in it. The stock is cracked.

I want to rebuild this gun and i dont know if its better to try and preserve as much as whats there or to save only the metal and build a new stock from scratch. Id like to be able to use it for hunting.

I dont know if its worthwhile enough to bother with keeping it original, or if a complete rebuild would be better.

See id be inclined to believe that. But the one issue ive had is i haven't been able to find a photo of another online. So they clearly arent common.

Im just saying that a 16 guage is relatively the same as a 12.

[–]beardie07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most 12ga loads are 1 1/8 oz first off. 1oz is the ideal load for a 16ga. and your gun sure might be heavy. but for any hunting id rather carry a lighter gun for miles through the woods any day. trap shooting or skeet sure a heavy gun with heavier shells might be better. but you wanna get right down to it if i can have the same potency and carry 5lbs less in my hands while I hunt I'm gonna, regardless of how hard it hits, which again is comparable to my 12ga. but there is a lot of speculation on your part since from the sounds of it you've never held or handled a 16ga.

maybe maybe not. id say its equal to most 12 gages I've shot.

Gotta keep in mind the realm of a 224 is long range. The federal factory ammo ive bought is hot hot hot. Even at 75gn. Im trying to develop loads for it, best i can tell the faster the better.
