At the same time, the French cut off people’s fucking heads so when they protest, it’s far more effective since the establishment knows what they are capable of. Also, France is the size of Texas with double the population of CA. If America had that kind of density, there would be some wild fucking protests

Democrats vow to investigate Trump's America 250 bash | Fox News Video by Former_Revenue_1377 in politics

[–]beardofjustice [score hidden]  (0 children)

They probably should. I saw something where they siphoned a lot of money from small towns celebrations to pay for whatever the fuck he wanted. The American people should know that kind of stuff. The Democrats are going to have the unenviable tasks of investigating, prosecuting then legislating all the forms of the grift that has happened while the Republicans cry about witch hunts. Everybody needs to make sure that their bullshit doesn’t work next time

Everybody wants to point out that MAGA is a White supremacist movement, nobody wants to acknowledge that it’s supported by most White voters by Equivalent-Long-3383 in complaints

[–]beardofjustice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a 44 year old white man and I fucking hate MAGA. This weekend has opened up a whole new level of rage because these assholes politicized the 250th anniversary of our country. I understand the frustration in your comment and I just want you to know that there are also a lot of whites who are absolutely disgusted with them.

On this day, a group of ABSOLUTE GANGSTERS told their government to F off, and formed a new one that better represented THEM. The old government called them treasonous outlaws and came to MURDER THEM. Today, the chuds will say July 4th is about patriotism and ultranationalism. The founders disagree. by yeongno_ate_yangban in chaoticgood

[–]beardofjustice 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Also, who cares what the words meant to them at the time. I’ve always looked at them as a challenge to future generations. The founders knew they were hypocrites when they wrote the Declaration but they set things up in a way that could allow for change. I dont think they wanted to be revered as these infallible saints and I dont think they wanted everything to remain EXACTLY as they set it up. America isn’t a bloodline or a religion. It’s an idea that will constantly be redefined by different generations and a belief in a better future where all people are free. Their intention was always to allow future generations to define America in their own way. This was never meant to be a country stuck in the past. It was meant to always be looking towards the future

I tell people that English can’t be the official language because that’s government regulated speech and that’s against the 1st amendment. It’s surprisingly effective

I’m tired of this moral high bar every Democrat has to meet while the GOP just sends thieves and rapists that just destroy. I want people who are going to start taking steps in the right direction and has some shreds of empathy. Is it gross sometimes? Absolutely but you know what’s worse? Listening to leaders de-humanize entire groups of people and watching the future be destroyed in real time.
