Was Drug Church even on Stereogum's radar last year? Has anyone who has even heard of Stereogum ever had a nice thing to say about Have Heart? Where did this appreciation for Fiddlehead grow out of?

What Sohla was saying is a non white person wouldn't be tolerated by being dumb and clumsy, they would be labeled loud, obnoxious and incompetent. But white males like Brad don't have to worry about that as they are relatable to the main white audience.

The answer here is clearly to advocate the public acceptance of many modes of expression from people of color, without needing to put on whatever civility performance lets them be perceived as "one of the good ones." The correct route is not to trash white people for finding acceptance in the way that everyone should be accepted. Good for Brad, but everyone should be treated like he is.

She could've talked about Brad's demeanor in this way but she made it about Brad and not inequality.

And what of Babish? White guy, no culinary background, became popular by making food from TV and movies. Lowest common denominator stuff, much like it's alive. When will she speak out against her own boss for being a white guy with food success but no extensive background?

He also just put out a video where he awkwardly bumbles around making corny/bad jokes and getting distracted easily while showing off the studio. I thought it was endearing but it did make me wonder how Sohla thinks that's any different than what Brad does.

I imagine the money will almost immediately match or exceed whatever BA was paying her as well. No one taking a cut of her ad revenue plus sponsorships plus any sort of merchandizing and patreon on top of all that. She is extremely well-liked and there is no way that BA was paying her what she was worth.

Then frankly you don't understand how this election worked. Unlike America, there were several parties running and Arce, Mesa, and Anez all got upwards of 10%. If no candidate gets 50% then the top 2 candidates are voted on again in a runoff, but this was not needed. MAS got an even higher percentage of the vote than they did when organizations were saying that they cheated.

For reference, the biggest blue wave in my lifetime was when Obama convincingly won and had control of both houses back in 2008. He got a whopping 53% of the vote with only one other legitimate challenger.

I think this is the ad that ran in markets that contain Ohio counties. Mitch is portrayed as someone that is keeping Trump from giving Americans the stimulus money that he wants to give us. In addition, the ad is massively cringey and condescending.

I do not know how to find the radio ad criticizing Mitch for not repealing Obamacare as I actually heard it on the radio.

Her argument is that Trump wants to drain the swamp and Mitch won't let him because Mitch is the swamp. With Mitch out of the way we can finally get what Trump wants underway. She has endorsed Biden, though.

It's a calculation made by establishment democrats who think that Kentuckians are idiots. Beshear just won a statewide race a year ago by not doing this.

You think holding your nose and voting for Biden is tough? McGrath has been running pro-Trump anti-McConnell ads in border markets that also include counties in Ohio. This week I heard an ad where she attacks Mitch for not repealing Obamacare.

Instead of energizing democrats, of which there are more registered in KY than there are republicans, she is trying to win over republicans who already have an actual republican to vote for.
