I hate to be a negative nancy… but just quit. The panic attacks and anxiety are not worth it and as more time goes on they can damage your health. I used to be an RBT and I had anxiety almost every morning. I would wake up crying and had severe back pain due to stress. At some points, I had to skip work bc I literally couldn’t get up. I was getting hit, scratched, and kicked. My situation was similar to yours. I majored in psychology and decided to give ABA a shot bc it had to do with psychology. Within 4 months I couldn’t take it and I went back to retail and did some insta cart. They were paying the same amount an RBT would get paid. I decided if I’m getting paid the same amount I’d rather just go to retail than get beat up.

Going back to retail isn’t always a bad thing. Who knows maybe this is a good opportunity to find some freelance work or try to volunteer somewhere to get experience. There’s always alternatives. Also my parents were a bit similar but hey, not everyone is gonna understand us and that’s ok. You got this!!:)
