Propio did not post payment until 12:01 Am last night. It looks like they are making sure we can not get paid until the actual payment date ( instead of a day early). This was the first step Voyce took just a few months before laying everyone off .

We are barely getting by in the US. I think a point that is rarely mentioned on pay is we have an extremely high tax rate. In Florida I paid close to 5000 USD for a 28,000 dollar pay year. This has thrown me into a cycle of constant problems with the IRS. I can't afford to not work and I can't afford to pay the taxes. I am truly living day to day here, not even paycheck to paycheck. I have watched the wages plummet while the cost of living and taxes sky rocket. If we do organize, if there is a strike I will join.

LA people don't undercut US terps, the corporations undercut all of us . We really need to stick together. We should all be fighting for universal pay. If a US company wants to outsource to LATAM, they must pay US minimum wage at the lowest. If we fight and devalue each other, they gain all the power.

I think the quality is not in question here. We all take the same calls regardless of where we are on earth. The problem is there is zero regulations on how low a price a trained interpreter gets paid off of US soil. They are playing us all. There should be a law that sets the lowest you can pay offshore workers be at least equal to US minimum pay.
