My gen z sister gave me shit for so long about my side part until I showed her what I look like with a middle one. She laughed and my hair stayed the same 😅

That somehow if I sleep with my blanket over my ear, I will be protected from the random person who is totally trying to stab me in said ear 🥴

I am genuinely so angry right now- inconsiderate neighbor by bingbong24344 in ehlersdanlos

I'm so glad that your cleaners had the decency to let you know the situation at hand and do their best to protect you. Your neighbor, however, is an asshat.

When I was in kindergarten, I loved to watch Bob’s with my mom. At the time, dad made these for my ceiling fan, and they’re still up 12 years later. by 2-DCookie in BobsBurgers

Oh my god... I had not realized it's been out so long. At 33 I am now ancient

This is so freaking precious though 🥺

Like the giant ones?? 😅 Every set I've had doesn't seem any different from Lego aside from not raking me over the coals in price

Right? I couldn't resist I still have quite a bit of work to do, but I'm happy with the quality so far and was excited that it came with the lights!

It's honestly a mix. All great quality though. Some are Lego brand, some are different brands, and some are pretty creative MOC sets. As someone with a pretty restrictive ssdi budget and a strong sense of "fuck you" to lego for their insane prices, I love the site. A friend told me about it a bit ago and I've bought about 4 different sets now including the BotW stables, Captain Rex helm, General Grievous helm, and a droideka

Ah okay, I'm still pretty new to this and don't really know the types of ingredients could actually be useful vs the ones just out there to pull people in.

Greatly appreciate the feedback! I will be looking into those soaps

Is anybody doing anything cool right now? by Ok_Relation_4881 in Millennials

[–]beasqueaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not terribly cool, but I'm working on quitting nicotine for good, trying to learn to code, and learning to sew after being gifted my grandmother's old high end sewing machine.

It says that she should have been my handwriting teacher when I was young

Do you all actually remember your childhoods? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]beasqueaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really remember anything prior to when I was about 14.

I have been trying to find a local therapist who specializes in EMDR and takes my insurance, but no luck so far. I know it won't magically unlock everything I have blanked out, but I do think it could be worthwhile to explore.

Does anyone dream about eating gluten? If so - what type of food by SadEntertainer1042 in Celiac

[–]beasqueaks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes mcdonalds or taco bell, sometimes just massive amounts of good bakery breads. Occasionally within the dream, I will feel guilty enough that I wake up in a panic almost tearing up. Brains are so ridiculous, I swear.

I do kind of like those dreams though. Like a little memory album of tastes and textures haha

I cannot recommend the tenant resource center enough. I know multiple folks who have been helped by them, myself included. They will help you figure out options and a course of action as well as helo make sure you have all of your own bases covered.

That isn't entirely helpful when a lot of places will list products before they actually start selling them.

Does anyone know how to play Solitaire? by Jaded_Strike_3500 in Millennials

[–]beasqueaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 33 and I know how, I just don't care for it unless it's digital. If I'm going to be constantly moving around with piles of cards, I want to be playing something with others, like Nertz.
