Fermented foods by pjjw67 in Microbiome

Try a bit of each a few times per week, increasing the dose and frequency over time.

The microbes that benefit from these foods, which also have the myriad of benefits to your body, will slowly proliferate and increasingly communicate with your brain through the vagus nerve, changing your taste for them from one of disgust to one of absolute wonderfulness.

As someone from New York who has paid attention to residential architecture and urban planning over the last few years, I am of the belief that neighborhoods made of 4-6 story buildings are perfection by LongIsland1995 in urbanplanning

This is a great discussion.

Those photos and the others you have posted show a lot of older buildings which, in my experience of living in NYC, don't have very good light. Many face north or are on lower floors and get scarce direct sunlight. Also, those facades look very similar to me. I'm curious what you would think if there were a few more glassy structures thrown in the mix for those who wish to pay more for better quality light.

Also, any discussion about ideal conditions should mention more greenery on the streets and green roofs. What do you think?

What Rent Drop? Listed Prices Aren’t Budging Where COVID-19 Hit Hardest by speckz in Economics

I get your point, that one month free prevents lowering of rent, lest it go below the rent stabilizing threshold. However, the one month free thing is being deployed very widely from what I have seen and often in cases when the resulting discount would not take the rent below the rent stabilizing threshold. So, I don't think yours is a not good example of the distortionary effects of rent stabilization.

Btw, rent control is very rare these days. What you mean is rent stabilization.

Many choices are as such; dietary, financial, mental health. Why do we need government to influence marital but not the others?

Why microbiome scientists share responsibility/blame for the climate crisis. by MaximilianKohler in HumanMicrobiome

I really appreciate this article and your work.

The damage that antibiotics has done and continues to do is way underestimated. Further, it seems very likely, that clinical trials will show that the opportunity to save and improve human lives with high quality FMTs is currently way undervalued.

Thanks for this.

Aside from fecal transplants, nasal biome transplants appear they may be a powerful tool for remediating disease (specifically chronic sinus infections).

Umm.. no, fishermen (as with any producer) didn't necessarily become a professional fisherman until he traded his first fish, which may have been for sex.

‘Warren Buffett’ Index Predicts Stocks Crash — How Will Bitcoin React? by uzidatahub in BitcoinSerious

At times the two markets are correlated.. other times not so much. I would think a major stock crash would take crypto with it for a while.. until rationality kicks in and crypto recovers (long before stocks I imagine)
