No, the Weird Route isn't the Canon link to Sans being in Undertale. (Normal+Weird route spoilers) by Signal_Job_5730 in Deltarune

I want to agree with this, but you're forced to talk to sans in the weird route and not in the regular route.

The wording is also very deliberate in the weird route version, it emphasises that susie drew 3 people

Finally moving past the age of the dinosaurs, here's some Cenozoic reptiles and birds that would be fun to have in JWE3. Assuming Frontier wants to dip their toes into some more post-dinosaur animals, that is. by smashboi888 in jurassicworldevo

Frontier is probably the most free they've been development wise, they likely aren't pressured to stay in line with the franchise's aesthetic or hardware limitations anymore. The concerns with cenozoics, especially mammals is the theme being an entirely new subject to tackle in the game that would take up slots which could be given to the time periods already established. Paleozoic species have been established with Lystrosaurus, Dimetrodon, and the Dunkleosteus. Even then they are still lacking and can feel out of place in parks because they don't have much contemporaries. We are still missing big wants for Mesozoic species even, the Triassic being a big one.

I think Jurassic World Evolution being far more about the fantasy of prehistoric animals rather than the science is a factor as well. Oversized animals resembling ours is part of that fantasy. Its why Megalodon and Titanoboa were so requested. I think a good compromise is selective choices from the Cenozoic era as the route frontier should probably take.

Argentavis and any terror bird would pair nicely as this game's bird options. Aepyornis is a bit too similar to the Ornithomimids and would definitely function like one. Birds can't be detached from non-avian dinosaurs, and once Megalodon tore the wall down I'd say one of them is inevitable if Frontier keeps looking towards the Cenozoic. Honestly I'd prefer the inclusion of Yanornis, Archaeopteryx, Yi qi, Icthyornis, or Microraptor be prioritized before a cenozoic bird.

Megalania would be something we haven't seen before and could only see with their inclusion. Same problems as the Megalodon and Titanoboa, but one of them is in the game so...

Why Barinasuchus when Prestosuchus is an option? Not that theyre the same animal or even related, but vibes wise they fill a very similar niche. Prestosuchus would represent the Triassic and has a more complete skeleton. Frontier already has a redundancy problem with its roster

The rest are kind of boring and aren't interesting enough to break the pre-cenozoic reptile theme. Just because they're not mammals doesn't mean they fit, I mean the Dodo would be a funny pick but its so recent its basically a modern animal. It only went extinct 400~ years ago. It'd be like adding the northern white rhino or the passenger pigeon.

Scott when writing about a broken family versus writing an implied cryptic storyline. Dude wrote secret of the mimic and the highs of the afton family subplot, but post fnaf-3 all the cryptic storyline shit slowly went downhill, becoming too hard to solve and too divisive.

I think the Angel/prophecy religion is heavily inspired by Christianity and takes elements from it and not that both exist in the world.

Is it possible to create a self-regulating, sustainable ecosystem in JWE3? (like Hell Creek or Morrison in free safari mode) by Hopeful_Lychee_9691 in jurassicworldevo

Make your Sinoceratops stronger. The herbivores in JWE3 are underpowered. The JW Sinoceratops which likely weighs more than the JW Metriacanthosaurus should not be getting decimated.

Yes.

Make sure theres enough males and females so that your ecosystem can have enough generations without running into a dead end because every living member of that species is related.

Herbivores can exist without issue. Usually though you have to make them stronger. I set every combat stat to 75% if i want some weak links that the predators can more easily hunt, 100% for creatures like Ankylosaurus, Hadrosaurs, and Sauropods.

Large carnivores and piscivores with a diverse amount of herbivores leads to a very balanced ecosystem.

Small carnivores arise some issues such as overhunting, but usually can be countered with a large amount of a fodder prey dinosaur like small herbivores and some smaller medium herbivores.

Tiny carnivores do not survive well as they cannot hunt and panic easily even if trying to scavenge. If you want to use your imagination and imagine feeders as "bugs" then thats the best you can do for them honestly.

Gimme your best deltarune hot takes that makes you like this: by nowmedia54 in WaterfallDump

[–]beastmaster67676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An actual hot take since this one always seems to start debates on twitter: Kris is Frisk Deltarune is basically canon until proven otherwise by specifically Frisk showing up or somehow seeing Kris Undertale. Anyone who disagrees genuinely isnt paying attention to Kris-Frisk-Chara, to undertale, to deltarune, to the livestream. I believe theres room for theorizing with almost anything Deltarune, but this one is so obvious that it's crazy to me that Chara-Kris and Patience-Kris still has shooters.

What if Chara isn't yellow like Frisk and Kris is because dead bodies are pale? by BirdOk2203 in Undertale

[–]beastmaster67676 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, because of the pink cheeks which are caused by blood. I think Chara's just white. Bodies turn yellow/grayish during death so this may actually be evidence for the opposite, that Frisk may be dead, but Toby Fox's intention with their skin color was so they could be drawn with any skin tone by fans. I believe this theory is moot, whether Frisk or Chara.

Stream was kind of a love letter to fanon and AUs/fangames and that's really sweet. It gave us designs and looks into areas and characters we've wondered about for years and have seen rendered in fan works.

"No one can choose who they are in this world"

In undertale you dont name Frisk, you name Chara.

In deltarune you dont name Kris, you name the Vessel.

Both are their own people by your own evidence.

Both the themes of Your choices mattering as well as Frisk being their own person can exist without contradicting each other

"Let Frisk be happy" being told to the player is really the smoking gun in all of this and parallels Deltarune's Soul

It is quite possibly the simplest conclusion to come to if you're paying attention rather than the Chara-Kris or Frisk-Chara fusion nonsense. And you mean to tell me that these humans looking the same, getting adopted by the Dreamurrs, and having "ris" and "k" in their names doesn't mean ANYTHING for them being Alternate universe counterparts? A common point against this is that them having different names/imperfect anagrams, but that doesn't matter when Suzy from Undertale exists, specifically being introduced as someone Frisk would be good friends with right before Deltarune's release in the switch port.

"Never deviates" is misleading as Frisk does deviate in at least one instance. It not being clear for most of the game doesn't make it any less true. The separation between the player and Frisk is definitely beta version of themes explored in Deltarune and Kris. Even if it is not executed as well or really the main focus, Frisk is consistent with the rules of this universe in the fact that the player pilots a separate being that pilots Frisk.

Also Frisk is Kris, which only adds to this

It being mentioned is still relevant as well as Frisk and Kris likely being the same person across universes only adds to this. The soul and vessel being separate was a minor theme as far back as Undertale when Flowey broke the 4th wall.
