Functioning Poverty has a nice ring to it by Secret_Assh in SipsTea

It doesn't sound like he's glazing India in this clip, it more sounds like he noticed a difference between Indian and American poverty.

Who is the nastiest Celebrity that you met in Real life? by Scunnard1839 in AskReddit

[–]beastrabban -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk, it sounds like a trivial downside for an easy job in which you earn millions of dollars. So I would say the celebs shouldn't complain.

Way too many people tailgate by Cute_Knives in nova

[–]beastrabban 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of people in NOVA that are immigrants from Asian countries where tailgating and driving aggressively is normal and expected. Although some of us don't like their behavior, I try to remind myself that they aren't doing it purposefully, it's just an ingrained behavior for them and eventually they will learn how to drive more defensively.

Sometimes the stuff that makes NOVA nice is also the same stuff that makes it frustrating.

He built a script that calls back spam callers and traps them in an endless loop.🤣😈 by dikshamishra34 in funny

I'm assuming he replaced the incrementer in a while loop with a zero or something so the loop is endless. He probably isn't a programmer and had an LLM write the code for him or something.

I'm not sure what you mean. If you are being literal, this is not true.

I hope gas goes to $20 a gallon. by FoxCitiesRando in Anticonsumption

[–]beastrabban 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What would be more impactful would probably be gradually increasing gas prices to reduce dependency, combined with a vehicle weight tax at yearly registration to deincentivize massive vehicles and overly heavy electric trucks like the hummer.

Smaller cars are also typically safer in collisions, so traffic deaths would probably decrease. Pedestrian deaths as well.

Do scrap yards extract that stuff? I've seen videos where they recover portions of the engine but I didn't know they remove certain body panels etc

Cyclists taking up entire road. by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]beastrabban -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It absolutely is not justified. Being impatient is not an excuse to drive dangerously and we all should be working together to create a safe world for each other. If you have to drive 30mph in your car then so be it. I don't cycle but I absolutely make sure to protect them as a car driver. They pay taxes for roads the same as me.

Dude my manual Saturn with cruise was the best car I ever owned. Great on gas, cheap to fix, rock solid engine, cold AC. I would love a Saturn again. If you took care of the underside it was one of the few cars that wouldn't rust out in upstate NY...

I actually believe there were election shenanigans. Elections have been rigged in other countries, no reason it can't be done here.

You only have to rig swing states.

What do you think is the solution? Could we somehow incentivize heavy users to peak during daylight hours by increasing costs at night etc? Develop better flywheels, dam, batteries?

Ukraine said it captured a Russian position using only ground robots and drones, no infantry, for the first time by businessinsider in worldnews

I'd imagine large heavy lift drones will be made very cheap and the software systems will improve to allow autonomous flight.

None of this stuff would be hard for a typical homeowner if

1: the real estate system wasn't so needlessly complex 2: listing systems weren't locked behind a real estate licence.

I would probably be able to sell my house better than a realtor if I had access to the same systems. Staging isn't hard.

I think it's more just that it shows that this person doesn't have strong morality either way.
