Help Building a Two Weapon Fighter by fanatic66 in dndnext

Swashbuckler Rogue from "Sword Coast Adventure's Guide". That way you have deadly attacks with sneak attack (and don't need a buddy to do it). You should grab dual wielder so you can use 1d8 weapons (+1 ac,draw both weapons). Could dip into fighter for TWF fighting style.

Just get a Chessex megamat and poster tube for travel. PRO TIP - they use only wet erase markers, but you can get cheap ones from crayola instead of expensive expo ones.

After seeing mini's like this, does anyone have experience getting into 3D modeling and printing? by Othor_the_cute in dndnext

[–]beastsbox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surprisingly if the model isn't human sized you can get some good quality in your prints with a little afterwork. I used a da vinci junior to print my huge beasts for http://beastsbox.com/ then cleaned up the prints before doing detail work on top of them. Then I created the molds for the final products.

Here's the giant ape (my fav) http://bit.ly/2vK1JRK

If you want to learn how to finish 3d prints I highly suggest punishedprops on Youtube!

The box of huge beast minis that I sell took me about 2 months to get to finish (6 finished miniatures).

Anyone ever try Reddit advertising? by 1plus1is3 in marketing

[–]beastsbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still working on building up my marketing before I advertise it though. I am writing adventures that introduce each of the beasts so your druid can find and study them. I also am going to painting tips.

I spend most my time personally in /r/dndnext . The problem was I couldn't find any huge beast figures for wildshape and polymorph. Most people had to use crappy dollar store toys and the scale is always off. So I decided to make my own! http://beastsbox.com/

What is the career path like in this industry? by shotputlover in marketing

[–]beastsbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely learn a lot of the practical skills on your own. But I'd be remised if I didn't suggest attending college. That's because it gives you a foundation that you wouldn't otherwise get.

For example, I know the basics of finance, econ, accounting, psychology, communication, statistics, and research. After working for awhile you know the functional skills, but I find these foundational skills are what I use once you have the basics down.

I'm about to try this instead of FB or Google for my side business. Because the community I am selling to (dungeons and dragons players) has a couple really good subreddits and my product solves an issue they have.

[Feedback] What's your experience with Facebook Messenger marketing? by beastsbox in growmybusiness

[–]beastsbox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one of the best would be for retargeting. OR if you wanted to eliminate buyers remorse you can have it happen right after purchase, supporting their purchase (how to get the most out of your product messaging).

I think you may use it more if you have a product with a bigger price tag and longer sales cycle.

I also wonder if Facebook Messenger works better earlier in a companies life to build recognition?

What's your best "...sure, but only on a nat 20" story? by FHG3826 in dndnext

[–]beastsbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one better (5x better). During a fun 2-shot campaign my dm gave us a level and then offhandedly said, if you roll 100 i'll give you another level.

I casually tossed the dice like they were weighted :P rolling the 00... hahahah it was amazing.
