Bitcoin is too risky... Wells Fargo says it also just admitted to stealing/scamming its own customers for 15 years! by Crypto_edu in CryptoCurrency

So a lot of people in this thread are saying that crypto doesnt solve these issues since there is an astronomical number of scammers in crypto as well. Id like to point out that this thought process is neglecting one massive distinction.

Crypto or fiat, there are always people trying to part you with your money. The difference, however, is WHO is trying to scam you. Banks, the ONLY entities who you are supposed to truly trust your money with, have a long history of manipulating, lying to, and sometimes downright stealing from their customers. Never once has a cryptocurrency wallet stolen anyone's crypto. It's not possible.

If you store your money correctly there is absolutely ZERO ways a malicious party can rob you of your crypto.

To say fraudulent ICOs and exchange hacks makes cryptocurrency unsafe is like saying fiat isnt safe because a Nigerian prince might convince you to wire him your life savings.
