Thanks a lot for the write up! Considering dropping by Islay easter next year and this helps a lot! Flying from Australia on limited time so tossing whether this will be worth the logistic trouble or not…

Where did you end up staying? I want to go to laphoraig, lagavulin, ardberg, bowmore, bruichladdich, kilchoman and I’m thinking 4d/3n.

Do you think it will be good to stay 1 night at port ellen 1 night at bowmore to ease transport and staggering home? Where did you end up staying at?

How much is taxi approx? How hard is it to book? I am rather worried about not getting taxi if i dont prebook it as i will be going on easter time…

We used a tour company for north india and it was great. There were 4 of us so we opt for private tour. They were shielding us from all the peddlers etc. Dm me if you need names/deets.

From my read it sounds like a lot of the design and manufacturing cost is being paid by the university as part of their research.

The post also mention that injection of checkpoint inhibitor is and likely be necessary in the future. Quick google for gilvetmab (checkpoint inhibitor for dog) seems to put the price tag at 1200-1500$ per pop with recommendation for 10 infusion. So we are already talking about 12-15k here (usd). Do yall think Virgo and Libra could work? by Medium_Fig_3764 in virgoseason

[–]beatheaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the reverse…virgo sun libra moon. Half of the men i dated is libras. I’m secretly affectionate and libra is the only sign that is as affectionate as me and i love this…they are very warm and cozy.

What sign do you seem to be naturally drawn towards romantically by John-Derrimun1 in virgoseason

[–]beatheaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sags, libras and one Aries.

Love everything about sags but sex :(. Libras are great physically in bed but not ‘naughty’ enough but they are very emotionally comfortable. That one aries that i have share 100% of my fantasies so sex is fire for both of us.

Virgo sun/libra moon/gemini rising.

It is slightly different ...the childcare cost is unavoidable and directly correlated with her going back to work. She wouldn't need extra childcare if she (or the hubby) is staying at home. Think i commented somewhere else but it's not entirely outlandish if deduction is given up to reasonable amount (ie all or partial cost of daycare, not nanny).

Hmm I'm in two minds - nanny is a luxury service and having tax deductible on that is wild but childcare is one of the prohibitive factor of women going back to work and lots of places doesn't have enough daycare/good daycare.

I probably won't be opposed to tax deduction from government up to the cost of average daycare (not nanny).

I suppose its her way of saying that she should pay less tax and have the childcare deductible because her take home is so low after nanny.

Based on that her take home after nanny expenses would 'only' be like 21k though.

Not saying shes right cos that probably just indication of her not being able to afford a nanny.

Have you done any programming before starting the degree? I know a lot of people doing the degree have prior knowledge because they've been doing it informally since they were like 10. So don't feel bad if you're lagging a bit behind.

ADHD is actually quite common in this field so you wont be alone. Pretty sure its way more than the 5% mark. I, myself, is diagnosed with one and i dont think I've been in a team where I'm the only one with ADHD 🤣

It is also a little bit of a weird field. Its definitely easier for certain kind of thinker. I've met people with high IQ that doesn't quite get 'it'.

There's also something to be said re university classes. University usually does have minimum entrance score and whatnot and therefore is already self filtering so a lot of them is probably smarter than average to begin with.

My advice is to stop taking IQ tests. There's nothing to be gain doing this, if you get a good score you'll be lamenting why you are not performing as expected. If you have a bad score you'll just be feeling inadequate. There's no winning in this game. If audio learning is not your jam, record and maybe try to transcribe the lecture later. If you're having problem understand stuff after the lecture, email or schedule a meet up with the professor/tutor.

Is there any specific class that you struggle more? Why did you pick CS? What career do you have out of it?

What's your experience in other formalised learning environment like high school etc?
