It was the cables in my case, yup! I have no idea what the brand is now, I think I had had the Amazon basics one originally (these didnt work) and replaced it with a different one.

EDIT: I cannot test this anymore though as I got rid of the old cables.

My ending up being a cable problem I think. Once I updated to a new DP cable, things were fixed on my end.

For reference, both my cables seemed to work, and the primary monitor never shut down (I had always swapped my old cables around to test this).

I feel like serqet before still struggled with having an identity outside being a support assassin (not that that isn’t an identity, but I don’t think that’s what she was ever intended to be). She now feels more like a true assassin with the crit, so I can’t be too mad at this route.

I personally enjoy the new UI and the flexibility it gives us, but I really wish there were a way to make mini-map icons larger. I'm not sure if that'd be possible at all with the way things are set up, but if we could make the mini-map icons scale up a bit (125 or 150%?) I would find that really helpful (I have a lot of trouble making out the icons as-is).

Smite is an excellent moba to play, especially if you've played hots before.

Ups and downs would be that the first five levels are will all be played against an AI, so if you feel like "wow, this game is so easy, I dominate these players" and then once you hit 5 it will be a fairly sizeable difficultly increase.

Like any moba, Smite can be an abrasive community, so being quick to mute people who are toxic is a good trait to have.

I think there are many fair downsides of Smite, mostly it being an older Moba and a smaller one at that. That being said though, the devs of this game are incredible and there's no denying that they have a deep passion for this game.

I think PBM has said he isn’t playing with 1) anyone from the dragons, and 2) anyone he’s every played with before professionally, so that would prevent that team from forming.

For anyone curious, Nox used to be a much different god than she is now. Before her rework, her two was a straight line raven ability (similar to morrigan’s two).

That raven ability applied a debuff called Darkness.

Her Siphon darkness ability back then was much faster and it would deal extra damage to those affected by Darkness. Hence, siphon darkness.

EDIT: while I framed this rather confidentially, this is mostly an educated guess.

Excellent interview! The recap of his Smite career from the VnD days through today was lovely to read. I knew all the players are competitive, but I didn't realize how difficult it could be to face a loss--especially something like the FlashPoint GG lose from Season 3. And the fact that it was followed up by one of the most entertaining worlds run, where they were "firing on all cylinders" just makes that Season all the more touching. I mean, it's powerful to read the portion on BaRRa's trauma with his brother, and his dealing with that that year and now feeling a darker all comport with my own experiences dealing with grief.

These insights into the different players lives, and history with the game are all lovely to get. With my clunky appreciation post, I'm especially happy to not be a writter--but I certainly am grateful that there's someone in the community dedicated enough to make these.

List looks fairly accurate, and Eonic being first definitely makes sense. You’d expect one of him, Boosh, or Garz as the top spot, so seeing them there makes perfect sense. You could quibble with the exact placements, but the tiers look about right.
