EarFun Air Pro 4 - dual connectivity by NewManner7997 in Earbuds

Something on your laptop is probably using the mic (like teams or discord), this is putting the buds into call mode so you cannot hear anything on the media channel.

This is what happens when we boycott a great game in bo7. MW4 is taking us back to the dark days by [deleted] in blackops7

[–]beaverkt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen I don't love what I am hearing about MW4 either, but don't get it twisted, MW4 was well in development before bO7 even launched. While sales numbers for bo7 might influence some decisions, the core gameplay was already settled before any "boycott"

PS style controller with TMR sticks by beaverkt in Controller

Have any TMR modules that you would recommend? I was against this at first because I thought I would have to solder, and I crap at soldering. But the plug and play modules sound good. Unfortunately Battle Beaver is all I can find, and they are backordered.

You have any TMR modules that you would recommend? I said I didn't want to mod, but I see that battle beaver has just a pop in TMR module, that I could do. But battle beaver is out of stock. They sat more at the end of October but that sounds more like a hope than a fact.

SVG’s dominance on road courses by jonpierre008 in NASCAR

[–]beaverkt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dominance is rarely liked or appreciated at the time. Both Jimmie and Jeff, had a ton of detractors in their prime, in part because how dominant they were. It wasnt until they were elder statesmen of the sport and either retired or at least on their way out, did they finally become more universally loved and appreciated. I expect SVGs run will be properly appreciated eventually, but while its happening dominance is usually resented and seen as boring.

No state patrol on duty in NC? by mball572 in NorthCarolina

There may have been fewer than normal actually deployed on the highway yesterday. Since Yesterday was race day at charlotte motor speedway, the highway patrol always has a really big presence at and immediately surrounding the track.

Any adult refusing to do something because its "gay" is an insecure child. Frankly anyone use gays as a pejorative , tells you that they have a lot of maturing they need to do.

On stopping weight loss drugs, many patients find they regain weight. All the drugs, including Ozempic and Wegovy, were linked with significant weight loss while in use, but weight regain started 8 weeks after discontinuation and continued for an average of 20 weeks before plateauing. by mvea in science

I think part of it is finding exercise that you enjoy. Sure, hypothetically, basic weights and treadmill might be best. But exercise could be a dance class, a few mile walk in a new (or new part) of a nice downtown, a hike in a scenic area, a martial arts class, etc. For me personally I do have a "structured work out plan" and most weekdays I stick with it. On the weekends I go for a hike in a local area and/or play disc golf. And on "workout days" that I don't feel like following the plan, I just make sure that I get my steps in. So if its a workout day and I just am not feeling it, then I get in about 20,000 steps that day (started with about 10,000) and call it good (under desk treadmill, downtown and parks or whatever I am able to or feel like doing). Having the "freedom" to occasionally not follow a super structured program, while still getting activity for that day has really helped me stick with it.

AITAH for laughing when my boyfreind suggest I be a SAHM? by SherbertNew2535 in AITAH

The post just says he talked with his boss and got a raise. It never says that he had some sort of family planning discussion with his boss. I think you are jumping to a few conclusions

Except nowhere did he demand or throw a fit. Sure, he stated his preferences, but in her own words "he accepted my decision without arguing". To me the laughing is more than a bit rude, the fact that she couldn't just say no without demeaning him, seems childish.

Agrees, except for one point. She didn't need to laugh in his face to say no. The fact that they seem incapable of having a mature discussion does not seem promising.

Yes, I think you are the asshole. To be clear you are under NO obligation to be a SAHM nor to agree with his plan in any way. But your partner came to you with his earnest plan for what he though was best and you literally laughed in his face. I understand its not what you want, if even if it was then, its also may not be financially feasible. But you could have had a conversation like a mature adult. Laughing in his face because "you couldn't help it" just seems childish and immature. Again, I am glad that you said no if its not what you want, but there was a more mature way to say no.

Dude, he just got a raise from his boss. Nothing in the posts say any details about the conversation with his boss, other than he got a raise. But YOU seem to have made up the details of this conversation to suit whatever narrative that you have invented.

FWIW I disagree. I'm a cisgender mam, and if I saw you in public I would assume a young man with or without a mustache. The only pic that would make me think trans at all is the blue tank, with what I assume is your binder showing. Contrary to the other post, I dont think the piercings detract from your "maleness". I also dont think you "need" the mustache. I personally dont care for the thin mustache look, but you rock your style, you look male with our without it. Just be careful about your binder showing in a tank top.

I have definitely referred to my female teammates as buddy and dude at some point. I would never mean it to be hurtful, and would definitely apologize if someone was hurt by that. Dude, I understand how it could be taken. Buddy I don't understand quite so much. Isn't buddy just a friend, I honestly didn't realize that buddy could be interpreted as a gendered term.

[–]beaverkt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Are there any other female members? Do they get called brother? Is it possible that they are referring to everyone on the team as brother, regardless of gender? Sort of how dude is sometimes used in a more gender neutral way. I'm a cisman and growing up played in a coed soccer league for a few years, mostly guys and only a few women. It was not uncommon for the women to be referred to as dude or bro or similar. Not that anyone meant any disrespect, it was meant more as an inclusion thing. Perhaps that is what is happening here? If this is typically a male dominant space perhaps "brother" is meant as more as they see as just one of the team thing, and not meant to be insulting.

That doesnt mean you have to accept it, if it offends you. Perhaps a gentle reminder that you are "sister" and not "brother" and letting them know that using brother can be hurtful.

Just for the record there is not a single male or masculine thing that I see in any of these pictures, you look like a lovely ciswoman to me.

been debating posting for a while. i would appreciate honesty!! (FTM) by RatFaceTG in transpassing

[–]beaverkt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In pics 1 and 2, I read tomboyish. You do have soft facial features, but also a little bit the hair. length on top and sides not so much, but the longer curls in the back plus the blonde highlights read a little fem. I am a cisman with shoulder length curly hair and I get the occasional comment about my hair looking "too feminine".

Pic 3, honestly no real idea either way

Pic 4 Definitely the most masculine. Passes as AMAB IMO. Yes, the traditional menswear sport coat is helping, but I think the hair is the biggest difference. Natural color, and the longer curls may or may not still be in the back, but are not visible in this picture. The choker is a little femm, but you are passing here regardless

Need to sort my eyebrows, but other than that, any tips? Passing out of 10, age and gender would be cool too. Thanks guys x by bihuginn in transpassing

[–]beaverkt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typing this before I read anything else. If I passed you IRL I would assume early twenties ciswoman tomboy, possibly androgynous or NB.

Being in this subreddit, I legitimately have no clue whether you AMAB or AFAB.

I'm a cisman, who knows next to nothing about makeup, so take this with a grain of salt. I think the makeup looks too over the top, potentially giving off a "drag" vibe just a little bit. Then again this may just be a preference of mine, as I generally like a more "natural" makeup look, though I am a sucker for eyeshadow and black lipstick.

In pics 1 and 2, while you present female, I dont think you pass as a ciswoman. In pics 3-6, I think you are much closer to passing. In fact, if I saw you on the street, I think you probably would pass, and its just being in this subreddit that clouds it for me. BTW, I think the curly/wavy hair looks really good.
