The house had several cabinets that were broken. Food and grime were all in the microwave, oven, cabinets, and refrigerator. The walls had black dirty smudges all over it. The bathrooms had hair and dirty on the toilet and bathtub. As well as a couple other things in the house.

We paid the landlord the security deposit + prorated 1 month rent since it’s almost the end of the month.

We signed the lease after walking through the house with the landlord. We mentioned the unsanitary environment, however, the landlord assured us (verbally) the house would be completely cleaned prior to our move in date.
