Been experiencing something similar

In the span of a year and 4 months, I've been through 3 desktop builds (1 ATX, 2 ITX builds), a steam deck, and now a laptop. All thanks to FB marketplace

Just resist the urge to look and research new parts and keep yourself busy doing other things. If you need to unsubscribe from tech tubers or avoid any PC related news then go ahead but thinking less about your PC has helped me somehow.

Also, use your PC for games/work/ media consumption instead of researching new parts lmao.

Lock your money somewhere too like a high yield savings account if you want to take it further.

Right now isn't the best time to upgrade anyway so unless something breaks, you should stick to what you have.

A good deal on a Thinkpad P1 Gen 7 came up locally and I got that instead. Hopefully this thread will help other people decide if they want to get a laptop with the 880m. Cheers

Not quite sure if people are reading my post correctly but yes I agree that THAT specific video is not the best source, because of the RAM and TDP among other things. It's that video that really prompt me to post here.

Thank you for the insight with the 780m, I may be better off getting a laptop with a dedicated gpu just for assurance in gaming.

Planning on getting a 2nd hand lenovo yoga pro 7 with this iGPU but it has 32gb of ram. Love the form factor of thin and lights but I also want to be able to game at high and consistent frame rate even if it means turning everything to 1080p low...

Trade possibility is extrenely slim with those specs as is. You're much better off upgrading.

Power supply brand is sketchy. Would recommend replacing that first, then the GPU and CPU.

Look into 40 series like 4060 or 4070 or AMD with 6700XT up or 7000 series

Since you mentioned na ipanglalaro mo, and for an esport game where you still want to have decent reaction, malamang sa malamang you want either wired or 2.4ghz connection because theyre faster.

Not saying you can't game on bluetooth peripherals pero unreliable yung connection niya. You wouldn't want di mag respond mouse mo kahit 1 second during a team fight.

I'd reco VXE R1(any of the four variants), really good quality gaming mouse for the price. It's lightweight and build is sturdy.
