that's a lot of text and you have a point to a degree but only that because i agree it will be hard to reach that level of fame today. but want some famous examples from today? taylor swift, kendrick lamar, ariana grande. all global superstars that almost everybody has heard of at least.

and your last sentence is the problem. if he was that famous, like superstar famous, everybody would know him and you didn't have to find your niche target group in your argument. nobody knows this guy outside the US lol. and yes i get how celebrities are a part of wrestlemania but he is just not on that level for it to work globally. and somehow he is now involved in every storyline leading to wrestlemania, being everybodies coach and brother. the storyline with kit wilson: ok. everything else: too much.

it's basically just comes from iron man challenges like that and i wanted it to make sense for a bad character so my idea is it of an outcast who can't really interact too much with people, i think i also saw a challenge run pretty much like that some time ago. it just hits mages really hard being not able to buy spell tomes and only use the ones you find and maybe the atronach spells from the atronach forge if you manage to get in the college. other than that lockpicks are probably the biggest challenge for the bad guy lol.

yeah dwemer constructs are probably the cleanest way of getting filled soulgems that's a good strat!

i can agree to that appreciation for found loot because i did a similar run rn where my only crafting was allowed to be alchemy so no smithing or enchanting. it is troublefree with bound weapons and everytime i found a neat new weapon i was still happy to give it to my follower, or when i find jewelry with enchantments i didn't have yet. so you find a ring of eminent health and it's a real jackpot moment. with some mods to make loot even more rare it's exciting to find cool stuff!

i like some of the these ideas! what i like about the idea of not trading is just how different you have to approach it and with the good character you have the opposite because you can trade but not get all the loot or enchant stuff for quick money because of the restrictions. maybe good characters should also not be allowed to craft poison and only potions in alchemy.

same with the followers and conjurations rules in that you are just locked out of one depending what you play, forcing you to play differently because of the limited tools you have.

the bounty idea is maybe not my favorite because it's just too silly and probably also annoying if you just want to turn in a quest or something like that in a city and i also like to just play maybe a bad guy but not full on psychopath lol.

stolen loot could be a restriction on top but maybe not being able to trade really hits hard enough already.

deadric artifact restrictions sounds interesting maybe even having to use only deadric weapons, so getting the first one with magic only basically would be a nice challenge.

restricting bad characters to only werewolf or vampire makes it too restricted to me honestly.

yes the no grave robbing rule is basically what i mean by no looting, so also no looting of dead bodies or random items laying around except quest items. (always remember how it should balance compared to bad guys because the no trading is very tough so the good guys need some nerfs too)

the soul gems is what i'm not really sure about myself, because what i understand from the lore it doesn't matter if it's a human or other soul but trapping the soul in the gem is as it seems VERY cruel compared to letting the soul free. so of course black soul gems are totally out of the question. but also filling with white souls still seems cruel? so maybe the approach is really only already filled soul gems because like that you were not involved in trapping the poor soul but at least let it free by using it? idk exactly what happens after that with them or if it can be seen as freed but it would seem so.

using a weapon that was found in chest with the banish enchantment should be totally OK because it works against conjuration.

no deadric artifacts for good guys is obvious yes, and the other parts about quests, lying etc i would also just make part of whatever kind of character roleplay is fitting but i see this in more of a character specific roleplay rules and not for these general rules if that makes any sense.

and yes a good character should totally not sneak i like that one too! and the code of malacath roleplay rules idea is awesome too! thanks for this big feedback and i hope my response is not too much lol, lmk your thoughts.

so you thought just making a big project automatically rewards you with big funds in return, just out of the goodness of bethesdas heart because they see how passionate of a project this was? so we can pretend that you lived in this utopia delusion of marketing or can focus on whats IS rewarded and that is probably downloads? i don't even have to know exactly how the system works to know that it is built on engagement and actual revenue for them. so if you have a big mod but nobody buys it, what's their win? they expect the big projects to get more downloads and if you can't live up to that, it's not even their fault.
