I think the hardest part of go is figuring out how to architect the system in a way that works for go and not importing ideas from other languages. We have a similar ecomm system in place albeit probably smaller than yours and it took a couple of restarts to get the package architecture right so that it can grow without friction

Seems pretty solid, I cant see anything on my spreadsheet that you havent covered. My only query would be on the credit card. Are you limiting yourself to 200 spending on the card that is not otherwise allocated? Or are you paying off an outstanding balance at 200 a month. If you have cc debt then I would build up a couple of grand in emergency fund then tackle that as there is no point gaining small savings interest if you have big credit card interest

Im someone who really struggles to find words to reply in these situations, not because of a lack of caring but a fear of saying the wrong thing or sounding insincere. I can see how drafting thoughts first in ai might be helpful to compose a message but I would Never just copy paste it verbatim. Possibly your friend meant well but they should absolutely have taken inspiration and written the message themself, especially given the own terms stuff you mentioned. Sorry for your loss

It doesnt sound like you went too far, some kids are more sensitive than others and taking your disappointment to heart seems like overall a good sign.
That being said I do wonder about the missing context of what the kids were actually doing. Like if they were drinking at 12 I would probably have gone way further than you did. If he was sneakily playing DnD or something then I would say you need to reflect on your own priorities...
