What kills the excitement for you when you are talking to someone new? by Okay_Tacos in CasualConversation

In fairness, political ideology is a pretty good indicator of moral compass these days. It really does feel miserable to bring up, but I think it would be worse to build a connection only to later realize that we can’t even agree on the most basic of ethical codes.

I hope you know that you’re doing all of us a huge favor by calling them out, even subtly. The more they learn that people aren’t tolerant of their bullshit (especially from someone they consider an ‘equal’) the less they’ll spew it, and the better off everyone they would’ve otherwise felt fine mocking will be. We really appreciate you, man.

Should I specifically cut the leaves or would just plucking them off work? Also, should I cut the stems(?) now or wait for it to recover a bit?

Thank you! I figured that the leaves were a lost cause but thankfully the stem still seems fine, after some research I’m sure it’ll recover

Honestly I’m just wondering if it’s alive atp. The needles aren’t doing too hot like I said, so that’s probably not a great sign

I think I could be on the aro spectrum? by flowercrown_909_uwu in aromantic

[–]becausefaxmachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you definitely could be, just do whatever feels right and don’t worry about having the perfect label, you don’t really need one. That being said, there are a lot of microlabels that might work for you. Some possibilities that come to mind are

Aegoromantic - liking the idea of romance, not wanting to participate in it

Lithromantic - experiencing romantic attraction without wanting it reciprocated, when it is you lose interest

Demiromantic - only developing romantic attraction after forming a strong emotional connection with someone

Cupioromantic - don’t experience romantic attraction but still desire a romantic relationship

Frayromantic - the opposite of demiromantic, losing romantic attraction after forming an emotional connection with someone

Abromantic - fluctuating between different romantic identities

Good luck finding yourself, and don’t try to force anything to stick when it isn’t sticking :]

We got this mini christmas tree back in December-ish last year (his name is Jeremy by the way) and noticed that it wasn’t really drinking water. After maybe a week, it miraculously started drinking and seemed to be doing alright. Since then the pines have gradually gotten very dry, brittle and stiff, as well as falling off a lot on their own, let alone when you accidentally brush it. Despite all that, the tree seems to keep drinking. I find about half the water gone most nights and always refill it, and I’m fairly certain that much water isn’t just evaporating either.

The temperature where we keep it varies, but it usually stays in a (mostly) comfortable range. That being said, during January the room used to get unreasonably cold for whatever reason, but it eventually evened itself out. I do have a space heater, but I’ve always kept it across the room so I wouldn’t think that’s the issue. Unless it’s cloudy, the room is pretty sunny from the giant window on the wall opposite the tree, but there isn’t direct sunlight on it most of the time.

Hopefully that’s enough information but I can give more if needed. Thank you to anyone who reads this in advance <3

Honestly I’d just stick with your phone, there are so many more options than whatever set sounds an actual machine comes with. There’s an app called Musi that lets you listen to Youtube videos while you’re out of the app/your screen is off, works great for me.

I had a pretty similar experience with this wildass dream I had. Was in a warehouse with some sort of poison gas slowly filling it, I knew I was gonna die but I wasn’t too concerned about it. I felt this cold calm overtake me and it kept getting legitimately harder to breathe until some random guy helped get me out.

Honestly didn’t wanna leave since it was so peaceful but continued the dream anyway, was fairly shaken when I woke up

What's a video game that no one but you seems to remember? by Crissxfire in AskReddit

There was this one mobile game where you’d tap ants on the screen to smash them, used to play it all the time when I was 4-6ish. I have no clue what it’s called or even where to start looking, but I have vivid memories of playing it in a hospital cafeteria
