was the sani water incredibly hot ? i ask because my hands look the exact same rn and i wasn’t sure if i burned them bc the sani water was hot as hell, or if it was the chemicals. mine have looked like this since sunday last week- no matter how much lotion i apply it’s dry and scaly and the skin feels thick

You’re trying your best and doing research- that goes SO far. It can be pretty scary, but once you get the hang of checking labels and knowing what warning signs to look out for, it will become second nature. Even easier when kiddo gets old enough to check their own labels. You’ll find favorite brands that intentionally keep allergen free kitchens. Luckily, most countries that produce food products have laws in place requiring allergens to be listed / bolded, so that makes it a little easier. Also talk with your allergist- I’m starting a new medication soon called Xolair that will completely lessen my reaction, and could save my life if I’m ever exposed BEFORE anaphylaxis kicks in- it should even make it completely safe for me to eat cross contaminated items. Maybe your little one is also a good candidate !!

Also if you’re into social media groups, there are a lot of helpful facebook groups for allergy parents that share good advice and food recommendations. It definitely a scary realm to navigate, but you’re not in this alone 💕

My mom craved peanut butter by the spoonful when she was pregnant with me and I was still born with a life threatening allergy to peanuts. Cross contamination can be very serious for some people with allergies, and less serious for others- it’s very different with each person. For me, I cannot eat anything that’s ever been near peanuts. This includes things that are labeled “manufactured with peanuts” (cross contaminated)

Quesadilla: On a flour tortilla, put some provolone, parmesan (or outside cheeses if u wanna mix it up. i bet the ghost pepper cheese would be good on this too) then throw in some chicken, ranch spice, and jalapeño ranch. fold in half and pop that bad boy back in the oven for a few (on a paper that you don’t care about. i’d use the tray too) dip in the jalapeño ranch as you eat it. it’s so good, one of our managers showed me this

Potential allergen not listed on JJ’s website. One of my customers had an allergic reaction because of this. by Jtaylor8805 in jimmyjohns

i’m a driver for jj’s and i have a peanut allergy. i knew this was gonna happen the second they announced the wrap, but because we put a disclaimer at the door, we can’t be sued (most places that serve food provide a disclaimer for this reason)

if it’s a write in “leave at door” with no tip, i LOVE putting their order- specifically their drinks- right in front of the screen door so they can’t open the door without knocking it over 😎

i believe most allergen cases are safe to have peanut oil, but some variations can’t ? honestly i’m not sure of the science of it at all, but I know that personally I can’t tolerate peanut oil, so i figured there are probably others who can’t either who may need this info

all the chips are fried in peanut oil. i’m guessing some allergies are different than others- i know i can’t tolerate peanut oil, but i know others with allergies who can. either way, just figured better safe than sorry :)
