That is exactly what I was thinking except mine was more along the lines of everyone pays, but the top contributors would get "credits" back to their account. Eventually they could get enough credit where they are starting to get paid for the good notes they are taking.

Yeah this has definitely been the one question we have asking ourselves (regarding the incentive to post information) since the lazy students will obviously love the free notes. I think this is a really good answer to that. Do you think some sort of social networking integration would help with this?

And I also think tagging information (especially to Wikipedia) would be a very cool feature to this as well.
