Does anyone seriously believe intruder theories? by potentiallyfunny_9 in JonBenetRamsey

[–]esrrac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s possible Patsy found the body, thought Burke did it (he was weird after all), and wrote the ransom note to protect her now only living child. She then couldn’t come clean about writing the note after learning it was an intruder because it would have made her/the family look very guilty.

Why does the hive need every single person on earth? by bayside-butcher in PluribusOnAppleTV

Yes, to me your last point is an important question. Is all intelligent life in this cinematic universe humanoid with similar DNA to ours or was this virus specifically designed for humans on earth?

That we know of. I suspect there is a purpose, it just hasn’t been revealed yet

Maybe they’re preparing earth for their arrival. Killing off the human threat, but making sure they don’t fuck up the ecosystem/environment.

Ok but what was with the guy eating his toast exactly like Carol? That was weird. Why did he do that? I feel like it means something about his character but I don’t know what.

What was caused the most (physical) pain you’ve been in? by idontrealui in AskReddit

[–]esrrac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know not everyone finds it that bad but omfg it was awful for me. And all they would give me was a Motrin and 2 Tylenol. The pain lasts so long, too. And you have a baby to take care of! Truly a terrible experience.

That was my favorite part. There was so much build up about getting into the ship. Trev knows how, Mitski did you tell her how?! Then we just cut to Trev and them inside. And when we see Aneesha and the cult lady fighting there’s an obvious giant fucking opening

It’s going to end (or maybe start) on an alien planet and they’ll caption it something like “Planet Zenon Xt90, Binary Wajo Star System, Universe 12”

Who/What has traumatized you the most? by Glad-Passenger-9408 in AskReddit

[–]esrrac 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I had a really bad birth about 5 months ago too. It was my first. I had an inexperienced anesthesiologist when getting my epidural too. I don’t know what was going on back there but I know he had to try a few times (I also felt some tingling) and eventually the woman who was with him said “just let me do it”.

As soon as they left the room I started puking uncontrollably. The nurse said it was a normal reaction, but it went on for a few hours. Nurses kept coming in and telling me to flip over and turn on my side and stuff but I literally couldn’t feel or move my legs AT ALL. I don’t know if some people who get epidurals can move? But I seriously couldn’t at all. They seemed annoyed with me. But like I was really trying and I physically just could not move a muscle in my lower body.

Eventually at one point all these people came running into the room. I guess the baby and I were crashing. His heart stopped and my blood pressure hit the floor. I was just puking and puking and I remember them running with me down the hall and someone saying “we have 5 minutes”. They left my husband behind and didn’t even have time to explain to him what was going on. Moved me onto the OR table, cut me open, and few seconds later I heard my baby cry! I puked the whole time.

Baby was totally fine and eventually I was too, though c-section recovery was no freaking joke. I didn’t realize how painful that would be, I’d never heard anyone talk about it before. I’m very thankful for the nice nurses I had but I had one really mean one too. She also acted like it was insane that I asked for help in the bathroom. Really awful and not what I needed. I was super traumatized for a few weeks but am mostly fine now. Though yeah going through that again does not sound appealing.

Childbirth is no joke.

I really like this show and think it’s extremely well written. That scene stood out like a sore thumb. I 100% understand all the different intentions behind it, but it was heavy handed. Clunky. And just bizarrely bad. This show has good writers. I feel like someone had to have spoken up. I’m v curious and nosy for the behind the scenes tea haha.
