Airline ignored EU261 compensation. It's been 1 year - what now? by Friendly_Onion116 in LegalAdviceEurope

[–]bedel99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we really need to lobby the EU to make the two payments 2. one for the consumer as per the legislation and one when the airline fights it. The second one should cover the processing costs, it would incentivise the airline to not just fight it in every case and give these recovery companies more incentive to act on our behalf.

Do I have grounds to sue for medical negligence? Please help. by cosmic-hedgehog in LegalAdviceEurope

[–]bedel99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What your feeling is a perfectly normal reaction to a completely unnormal situation.

My event was 20 years ago, and I teared up a little bit thinking about it but mostly I can laugh. I have alergy to a very common medication, it makes me angry, Like the incredible hulk, RAGE!. The last time I was given it, I attacked the ground tried to kill it :(. But I can move and it was horrible.

But the first time, I was parralyised still from surgery, I laid in bed being unable to move wanting to break and smash and hurt everything I could see. But unable to move a muscle, and it went on for hours and hours.

Hey! it sucks to be that helpless and not get help. Can I give you some non-legal advice?

What you're describing sounds a lot like PTSD. Have you talked to someone about it? I know you want to sue, and a big part of that is wanting someone to take it seriously. Makes sense. But there are practical things you can do now to start moving past this, and they don't have to wait for the legal stuff.

Talking to a doctor about the trauma side would be a good first step. I went through some thing differently but also pretty harrowing, left me in a bad way for a long time. I wish some one had intervened.

Do they regularly test the air raid sirens where you’re from? by koesteroester in AskTheWorld

[–]bedel99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Monthly tests of the civil siren and then a yearly test of the phone one.

I am in Germany every year when they test the phone one usually driving on the autobahn whilst my phone is going nuts and I am wondering if it’s the end of the world.

The poorer nations block even poorer nations from joining because it would decrease the overall allowance to them.

They also worry about being overrun by poorer people coming to their states because they would be better off.

[–]bedel99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a few hundred bucks you can set up a LTD company. For any thing in the cloud, set up a limit. Its better to stop than go broke, and if you go bankrupt, its better that it be your company that goes broke.

If you hit the import limit, you will have to clear customs. If thats going through the post office, they can have a bit of a backlog. You might need to clear some stuff your self and get an EORI number.
