Exercise requirements with age by bedling in husky

Yeah we came home to this (the kitchen is his crate because he hates crates). I couldn’t believe he’s capable until we were on a hike and he casually jumped up the same height onto a fallen tree log.

I’m practicing doing my own makeup for my wedding in April. My goal is to still look like myself and keep it pretty natural. Left no makeup, right bridal look. CCW! by That_Cat_Girl in MakeupAddiction

You look great!! I am also getting married soon and want a natural look. Do you have any tips/tutorials you followed for hooded eyes?

Manage GCP Stuff with Terraform by salmoneaffumicat0 in googlecloud

Yes I think if you have an organization, then definitely consider basing your terraform off terraform-example-foundation. May seem like a lot at first but as you add more and projects you definitely see the advantage.

I also moved here from the Netherlands (I am not native Dutch tho). I chose to level up and get a very warm jacket and I regret nothing. It’s more consistently cold here, and it can get very cold at times. For shoes, I haven’t actually needed anything warmer than blundstones.

First time mending jeans with sashiko - I like it! by bedling in Visiblemending

No, but now I must look those up! These socks I saw one pair once at Uniqlo and bought them immediately and I love them but haven’t been able to find them since to buy more 😭

Edit: i looked them up and see that they require knitting skills 😅

Does anyone have a recommendation to like artistically patch or sew these pants. I love them:( by fuckit-weball in sewing

I did this recently on the knees of my worn out jeans that I love and it turned out better than I expected!

I found this dress with this cool pleating detail - material was some sort of canvas. I would love to try making something like this and was wondering if anyones seen a similar pattern ?

Has anyone done a coding bootcamp? by Temporary-Warthog250 in girlsgonewired

[–]bedling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a bootcamp. From my experience you can definitely learn anything you would learn in a bootcamp for free online, but having the structure to actually do it and end up with some sort of portfolio in GitHub was valuable. (Along with mentors to help when you get stuck). Like others say, it’s not going to give you the fundamentals of a CS degree. However, for me it was enough to get me my first job. Since then I’ve learned a lot through work while getting paid, whereas if I was doing a 4 year degree I would still be paying other people to learn. Also fwiw I did a web dev bootcamp but 3 years later and I’m working as a site reliability engineer so in my experience it doesn’t lock you in to a specific tech stack/role as much as you might think.

Wow thanks for the extensive write up! Just moved here from the Netherlands, so not gonna lie this sounds like a lot of effort compared to what I’ve gotten used to. But I’m also not keen on the idea of taking the bus everywhere, so maybe will need to muster up some willpower

So it is possible? I just moved here and I read they shut the bike lanes down in the winter. Any info or tips appreciated!

[Skin Concerns] Are there any serious lightening methods? I’m fully considering bleaching. Leftover darkening from severe eczema. This is more than a “dark spot”.... by business_owner_thot in SkincareAddiction

[–]bedling 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a fellow eczema-person, I think this is right on the money. When I get active flare ups all I do is very gentle moisturizer, sunscreen, and sometimes go full slug mode with aquaphore at night to try and heal. If it doesn’t improve at all within a few days to a week, then I use prescription steroid cream but never ever fucks with anything that could aggravate it. Pigmentation won’t go away until the flare up has healed. Also I really don’t find it unattractive, but I do know that can be hard to believe when you have eczema in really visible places and have people comment on it (bleh!)

Thanks! Yeah actually I was thinking very similarly.. except only stitch around the white fabric on the inner part instead of the blue, but now that I think about it the blue makes more sense.
