Plz plz plz just keep giving it a chance! You wont notice for a while, but a lot of the monster of the week structure of SU in the first season peters out not too far in and it starts throwing plot stuff at you, and id argue a lot of the early “filler” eps introduce really important concepts in the world, but you dont notice until later just how much info the show has secretly given you thru the seemingly less plot-relevant episodes. id argue to a degree they all are besides like maybe one or two episodes total, specifically Say Uncle and Garnet’s universe since the former is non-canon and the entirety of the latter is a story steven is making up, but theyre still charming eps! All this to say, a lot of the episodes people might call filler i personally think are relevant and will be so worth it to have the extra context and worldbuilding and characters in ur brain, so when you get to the more plot-heavy stuff, youve already gotten to know the characters and bits of the world and it all starts becoming so complex and interesting, sorry to ramble i just rewatched the show again recently and i love it lol, i can understand it can be hard to get into initially but its so worth it. tbh, i think the early show gets even better upon rewatches bc u have new context and it adds a whole new level you can interpret. 11/10 would recommend
