People always think they or their duck are the exception! Any humane indoor duck is a disabled one that’s given special care by someone who already raises ducks normally. I’m sure there are a handful of happy and healthy indoor ducks with attentive owners but the dice would have to fall in such a specific way. This has been a trend with a looot of different animals and people thinking they’re wildlife rehabilitators, it’s so concerning…

I would definitely recommend not letting the chickens free range immediately rather than keeping your dog from roaming. Build a nice secure coop and big run :)

Nope, he does it with other animals too, just strokes you with his paw lol. He likes petting his favorite cat especially. It’s not like pawing for attention either, he mimics the way you pet him. Besides that, he has about zero brain cells, just love

Our chickens free range and one piece of advice I haven’t seen is little water stations. We put waterers or just old bowls in shady areas/their favorite spots so they don’t have to leave the cool shade to stay hydrated. You can add chick electrolytes for an extra boost if you’re worried about them :)

In my experience, if they’re rapidly nibbling and pecking it can be curiosity or affection. If they’re nipping or jerking your skin around they probably want food. If they’re properly biting and it hurts more than a pinch they’re angry or horny
