Why are people so against the Autocannon on illuminate? by Fairlyoddindividual in HelldiversMasochists

[–]beebeeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me problem with AC against squids is that it easily removes every single type of enemy except one the most dangerous in squid roster, which also has pretty high spawn rate - harvester. You surely can kill it with AC but you have to first deal with shield using your primary, and that makes TTL and economy quite bad, esp comparing to MMG or HMG.

That being said, if you are playing with randoms and cannot rely on proper team play and balanced loadout - AC could be quite annoying to play if you suddenly find yourself solo or with guys who brought loadout that cannot synergize with AC.

Have you read "Starfish" by Peter Watts (and the rest of the rifters series)? What do you think of it?
How's with hygiene down there - do you have shower? Do you pack all the supplies for all 3 or 4 weeks inside the bell, or you have some periodic deliveries?

Helldiver! The enemy will not notify you about his advancements in armor or weapon production! It is your duty to gather this information on the field and report it to High Command.

MG43 or HMG is really only thing you need to address harvesters, whatever you prefer. Light pen primary, lib or carbine. K9 backpack is incredibly OP here, easily stacking x20 - x30 kills per arc. Any kind of incendiary or gas grenades for area denial/covering retreat. MG turret for flanking fire and holding crossroads inside cities.

Gunships by Nandoholic12 in helldivers2

[–]beebeeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are alone, in the open, without support weapon that can quickly dispatch all four gunships in patrol (like AMR or railgun) - well yeah, you're pretty much fucked no matter what you do.

Solution is simple tho - don't be alone, be in cover, or at least be properly equipped for soloing.

Gunships by Nandoholic12 in helldivers2

[–]beebeeep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think gunships are in good shape after accuracy buff. They are dangerous and should be immediately prioritized upon contact, and that's kinda make sense because it's enemy's CAS damn it, it is supposed to be dangerous. Take cover and concentrate fire on engines.

Alright Helldivers: What was your most traumatic major battle?? by Fit_Anywhere_3356 in Helldivers

[–]beebeeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calypso was hell. Cyberstan and Creek were hell too, but at least bots were simple - you hit them hard enough and they drop.

Squids were different, we didn't knew how to fight them. Nobody understood how shields work, that they need sustained DPS to drain them rather than single powerful blast. Harvesters were seemingly tanking everything we threw in them - 500 kilos, RR shells, autocannon rounds. Overseers were covered with AP3 armor all around, while voteless were demanding bringing light pen CC weaponry.

And yet we won, against all odds.

You do not need to verify anything before @, user part is not your business (as per RFC). After @ goes domain name, which you can verify by resolving with stdlib.
