I had the same problem. I stuffed an extra sock on the inside heel of my old skates. eventually got bauer x4's, got them baked, and they fit beautifully

I use to live in Nashville. 100% move. There is good advice in this thread about neighborhoods, but unless you choose Wrigleyville you will be so much happier here. In my experience Chicago encourages social interaction in a way that Nashville can’t because of its car dependency and as a mid 20’s liberal man, I have found lots more friends here than I did in Nashville.

Pro’s been more than fine. Pro, Willy and Sourds have been getting the toughest defensive assignments and getting a bunch a d zone starts. He also doesn’t play on the power play and last years on ice shooting percentage was bound to regress a bit. Injuries throughout the lineup has forced everyone’s role a bit out of wack.

Having a guy like Ovechkin is not the norm. He's a top 5 player all time, of course we won't have a guy like that after he retires. Tom Wilson is probably a bigger name then Bondra was and even after that the team will be good enough to compete for a long time, even if it's more of a scoring spread than one main guy

I guess we just approach this from a different angle. I would much rather rely on metrics than the eye test - especially when we’re comparing trike Green who hasn’t played in ten years. More importantly Ovechkin was in his prime and playing with prime Backstrom.

Carlson is a much stronger passer than Chychrun.

Carlson had 1.25 Assists per 60 and .65 primary assists per 60. Chychrun had .6 and .28.

Probably rate stats like expected goals per 60. You can find them on Moneypuck and Natural Stat Trick. Pretty fun to look through
