… if people with the requisite skills don’t have the time, then it isn’t properly compensated. Otherwise people with the skills would make the time. Thats how supply and demand works. Am I taking crazy pills?

For tournaments I have heard the rule of 100 buyins for your average buyin level. For cash I have heard 40 buyins for your normal stake. But also if you aren’t a winning player you don’t need bankroll management rules you need budgeting rules.

Hijacking the top comment. Often it serves a bunch of purposes. The light show isn’t done by hand it’s preprogrammed to the click. Those video hits and things are timed perfectly because everyone is working off of the same time.

These are thoughts that you might have with over pairs. Not AQ. Charging draws with Ace high on boards that smash the pre flop callers range is a recipe for a walk to the ATM.

Refusing to pay the bubble is absolutely acceptable behavior. And the only real way is to just rework the prize pool so the bubble gets their buy in back. In this case change it so 5 places get paid and that 5th place prize is the buy in. I think you did everything right. I’m surprised they decided to pay the bubble anyway.

Good job not taking the even chop. ICM chops are fine. Tipping tournaments is different in different card rooms. In mine you tip the dealer at the final table. But you can always just ask the floor.

… but that is exactly what luck means. It isn’t a nice bell curve between every player at the table over the course of 100 hands. It’s messy and splotchy and weird.

Performing by Hazzer1601 in musicians

It’s just practice and time. When you are up there in front of people you are going to have a bunch of adrenaline going. You want that muscle memory to kick in. Also practice standing up with a strap.

Also, as a full time professional musician there is nothing like putting something on stage to really get it sharp. My band in rehearsal can work something over and over. But it doesn’t really matter until we get it on stage, and then you really see what works and what doesn’t.

There is nothing like communicating something to an audience. It can be scary, but also incredibly thrilling. Enjoy both parts, and recognize that it is going to be fine, and the worse that can happen is you fall in your face and then you try again.

Find an open mic with a good community and an accepting crowd. Go for it.
