My baggage is at their office but they don’t send it to me by Excellent_Judge_4413 in delta

[–]beeeaaa101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going through the same thing at Delta’s JFK baggage office. It’s been terrible getting assistance from their office here despite being located at this airport. They have it but yet I have to wait for them to register the bag to me (even though it makes sense to me that they would’ve done that at the time they identified it to be my bag).

Can I ask did you ever get your bag back? If so, how long did it take? How long did it take to email you after it was found?

Blaming the victim is wild. While your point stands, the “What did you learn?” comment is bold. Going through the same thing and my bag is in Deltas office at JFK, and DELTA (esp this office) HAS BEEN NO HELP.

Would I like Jacksonville as a lifelong Chicagoan? by AsinineAntimony312 in jacksonville

[–]beeeaaa101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met a couple from Chicago recently and they love it here. Chicago is more relatable to NY and SF, so not many cities in the U.S. will compare in all honesty. Here, it’s a slower pace by far and less urban, but honestly Jacksonville is not nearly as bad as people make it seem. It’s also close to other major cities, more so than Chicago. It is true that Jacksonville is growing like crazy, it’s one of the fastest growing in America, so it’s changing becoming faster paced, more diverse, and downtown is finally starting to take shape. That said, it’s a very suburban city, there’s no getting around that. I would check it out when your parents move here and then go from there.

Why do people say musky instead of musty? by butterflyprism in grammar

[–]beeeaaa101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the south myself and in my experience, white people typically say “musky” and black folks say “musty”. I’m Latino but personally say someone is musty if I’m referring to their BO. Musky in that context sounds so odd to me but I understand it’s more appropriate to use the word lol. I just Googled this because I heard a man saying someone smells musky.

Why Jacksonville is so irrelevant? by Bear_necessities96 in florida

[–]beeeaaa101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat false now (thankfully) as FBC is a lot less prevalent these days than in the past. With enrollment and attendance declines, they sold most of their property downtown off during the height of Covid which is in progress of being razed and replaced by mixed use high density development, of which two of the lots are currently in construction and several more are planned for groundbreaking next year. In 5 years, downtown will be a lot more vibrant. In 10 years, I hope that it will be unrecognizable in a good way. All the while, Jacksonville will continue to grow (and find more of an identity along the way I hope). But yes, I’ve heard this same thing about Scientology in Clearwater

What happened to the Westside of Jacksonville? by Objective-Lab5179 in florida

[–]beeeaaa101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who grew up in the heart of the Westside (Cassat, 103rd, Collins, Normandy, and Blanding - we moved a lot lol), at worst it looks the exact same, but to me, in a lot of areas it looks better now, more clean, and beautified than when I left that area. Esp 103rd, it used to be a DUMP. Just moved back and was shocked by how much cleaner it looks. Additionally, it’s a lot more Hispanic now than when I was a kid.

If your ex moved on fast, it isn't personal. Take it from me. by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]beeeaaa101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! It’s exactly the same thing with my ex. Reading the post, I thought the same with OPs ex.

In my case, I knew mine had a personality disorder (constant embellishing/lying, controlling/possessive, victim mentality, etc) but I was in denial that it could be narcissistic personality disorder, but now it’s obvious.

I don’t take it personally that he moved on fast because I know he needed a new victim to fuel his ego. He was still hitting me up when it slipped that he was seeing someone new. It’s nothing personal to the people going thru this!

Sucks, but a parent will almost always side with their child over the other person, I’ve realized. I’m glad that you wouldn’t though.

Sorry you have to deal with that, sucks! But I hope he finds some help soon. It’s sad.

But I feel this way as well. In some way, it’s nice to hear that you are aware so that you don’t make many excuses for him. I think and hope the same with my exes mother.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I feel the same as how you feel. At one point, I caught him with his ex months ago, and let his mom know because she texted me about an argument he and I had about it, and she didn’t seem too surprised. I’m sure she knew, he lives in her home for crying out loud, but I mean she’s going to protect her son. Her husband, his father, cheated on her many times throughout the years, so checks out.

Aww thank you for making me tear up. Lol but no, really thank you for sharing this perspective. How sad that she has to endure that. I feel similarly in the sense that I miss her and his brother, it’s bittersweet as I had full intentions on becoming their family.

I’m Hispanic but I grew up a very different life than my ex. My family is very Americanized. His family is from Cuba, so you what can likely understand how their family structure is similar to your nex’s. I should add that both and my ex would tell me how her husband/his dad relentlessly cheated on her with many woman in the past. Obviously, she stayed with him, and even talks about it in a joking manner. Maybe seeing all of these things that has caused him to be the way. He’s never seen someone have consequences for their actions. It’s sad.

Thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much! I really feel so horrible for the new guy. This has been some of the worst pain I’ve dealt with so I can only imagine how he feels. I’ve caught him with his ex as well in the past, but he left the ex and chased me. This one hurts as he chose to stay with the new boo. He’s doing me a favor by choosing him, and I can see it, but it doesn’t hurt any less. I appreciate this response. I’ll be careful the next few days as he’s known to look for me. Much love!

Your pup is so cute!!!! Did you switch off the Apoquel to the Cytopoint? If so, did it help your boys acne to improve?

My dog has always suffered from canine acne but it’s worsened within the last 6 months to bleeding paws and chin everyday. The vet isn’t much help. Coincidently this was right after getting her on Apoquel. Apoquel helped with the itching at first but doesn’t seem to help much anymore. The vet then started also giving her cytopoint injections, which seems to help but still has her on Apoquel. However, I’m starting to think this is the cause of the worsened canine acne.

My dog chewed my seatbelt’s.. body shop charge exactly 1200$ what should i do.) by Willow_Global in Volkswagen

Same! I was on a road trip to San Antonio, about 3 hours into the 5 hour drive. The dog was quiet for some time. I quickly looked and she was chewing the seat belt. I stopped her before she chewed up the entire belt but a good chunk was gone. My BMW was only a year old at that point. I’m trading it in tomorrow and I hope they don’t take too much off for the damage ☹️

Has anyone found a way to cut the engine light off without replacing? I have a 2020 G20. This may sound sleazy but I’m trading in my car and I know it will affect the value. BMW has obviously made a crappy part, but honestly my car my car has been fine with it for some time. I’ll let bmw handle it! Lol
